If you need to cancel that game, No Melts, Shalford FC are looking for a few teams to play.

They play in the Surrey Intermediate League at Shalford, near Guildford, but don't have lights. I'll PM you their details if interested.

I've heard that a Swindon scout is looking at O'Toole.

Paolo Di Canio is in italy with Swindon's first team at the moment, but wants to take a look at him and Ross Allen once Swindon are back in the UK (before their games with Cirencester and Supermarine).

I heard it from a Swindon fan who lives around the corner from me, and his information is usually pretty accurate.

The Ross Allen to Swindon story has been on Football Rumours for a while though. He's also been linked with Oxford, Wycombe, Aldershot and Crawley as well.

Di Canio knows about both players, so you never know. However, his squad looks pretty good as it is - they won 9-1 a few nights ago in a friendly, so they're in good nick ahead of the new season.

We keep hearing of Windsor's O'Toole, Chandiram, Parsons, Romeo, isn't it a shame we don't hear more of Ben Porter the unsung hero of their team.........in my opinion., He works so hard for his team, as will new employee Jamie Houghton from Egham, he's a workman-like player.

No !...Tilbury still playing !...I wonder how many broken noses Ascot had ..... ;) !!! I would say take up coaching, but it's football not Thai boxing.......LOL :P !!!.

It's always difficult for little clubs when the big clubs are after their prized asset, but so long as you get good money and can re-invest in finding a good back-up then that will help soften the blow.

Besides, if a player is good enough to go up a few leagues, he deserves that chance.

Look at clubs like Crewe - they have to sell their best players, in order to break-even. Their club runs at a loss of £1.2m per annum, and it's only player sales on top of corporate hospitality etc. that keeps them in business. John Bowler (one of the oldest club owners in the country, if not the oldest) runs a very tight ship and that's at League 2 level!

It'll be tough if Windsor lose O'Toole, but I guarantee that there's as good a player out there waiting to fill his boots. That's the way of the football world.

i fear for windsor if they did lose o'toole as would surely make it very hard to better last season without him and chennels

Tweener, I shouldn't worry, with their budget they will just go out and get someone if they notice they are struggling....... ;) !!...
