daniel, i agree with you, i think a lot of sides will beat each other and i see the top three being a lot closer this year with bedfont and guernsey up. i can see the top three losing as many as 8 or 9 games this year. i imagine that knaphill, spelthorne, warlingham, staines, cobham and westfield will be in the top 8. i would not be surprised to see one of the promoted teams up there too.

It's probably a bit too early to say who'll finish top and who'll finish bottom in any league. If a week is a long time in football, then eight to nine months is an eternity!

 

In the BSN (Blue Square North), we (Gloucester City) are now one of the faves to go down as we've lost players (Matt Rose - retired, Matt Lock - gone to Australia and Tyler Weir - gone on a permanent to Worcester) and haven't brought in many good replacements despite players like Lee Trundle, Scott McGleish, Charlie Clough and Mike Boateng being available. Only David Bird and Lewis Hogg have joined, and we need bulking up up front, in deference and in goal.

 

Despite that, I doubt Gloucester will go down. I think Bradford PA, Brackley Town and Hinckley United will be the unlucky ones.

I agree with your post chollockbops. Also think Croydon and Epsom will be strong. That's about half the league that are thought to do well,so should be an interesting season.

 

Won our friendly against Fleet Spurs 3-0 tonight. Some good performances and hopefully we'll improve further against Chertsey this weekend.

In my opinion, CCL Div 1 is wide open this season, more so than it has for a while, so teams should reep the benefit of this fact, take the bull by the horns and go for it 'cos you never know when a Guernsey will come along again !

 

CCL Prem looks a different entity, on paper people could see that there are 3 main contenders this seson being Windsor, Egham and Guernsey where the cash is. Hanworth Villa come strong last season as did Molesey. With Wenbley cashing in on Budweiser sponsorship and Badshot Lea having their usual wealthy budget, these latter clubs could challenge, but will they be strong enough ? I think although it will be close, the CCL Prem is more open than last season, possible even the season before.............whatever happens will be interesting, can't wait !

 

Odds on any waterlogged pitches in August as weather forecast to reamin the same up until September when ''apparently'' the hot, dry weather is due to arrive.... !

 

By the way, has there any further developments on the rumour that for this season only, 2 teams could possibly be promoted from CCL Prem ?
