OD I know its not much consolation but people in the area know which is the proper club !!

Appreciated Redimp, but I have managed AFC for many years, many players have moved on but we have always had a reputation for being a friendly and progessive club with many successes behind us. I have every confidence this will continue and already I can tell you we have made some excellent new signings, so don't be writing us off just yet!.

Finally it is no secret this year AFC will be operating with a small budget for the first time, this I hope will reward a number of our players who have remained loyal to the badge and to carry on progressing.

Good luck next season , I have always enjoyed games against afc they are a good bunch , I'm looking forward to the fa cup tie against ampthill .

X Man, same goes, some great battles v you boys and you seem to have a top gaffer with a great squad assembled now. Would have rather avoided you in the FA cup but sh#t happens and no doubt it will be one hell of a battle. Reckon 1 nil to us with a controversial last minute pen,which may or may not have crossed the line...get in there! :)

Funny you should say about our x player and Lee Evans look-a-like Crooky. Lovely bloke and served us well but he did a Lord Lucan near the start of last season and became uncontactable. Let's put it out there and ask anyone if they know of his where-bouts, would be great to find out what happened to him?

I spoke to him a while ago at our presentation night , I've just made a call and found out he is training with Crawley green .

He will do well down there, I get the feeling he left because he did not start every game and it may have played on his confidence, but a decent player all the same. If you talk send him my regards, Butts

Will do mate , I no the ampthill management spoke with on that night about coming down pre season but when he said what he was earning a week with afc , they could no where near compete lol . They could prob just about cover his petrol .

Apparently after speaking to one of my players last night AFC offered him the same deal as DTFC to come back to AFC looks like the budget is growing for guys which is good to hear. I get fed up with people saying that DTFC offer to much money its good to see that AFC now have money to offer top players

Is that the same player who told me you were paying £150 per game with a £20 win bonus and a chauffer driven car Mad Dog......I hope you didn't up his offer again, he maybe mugging you off :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :D ;)
