Thanks Winslow Boy. Whats more frustrating, is that both clubs are supposed to be working together to make the new facility work and are "partners" in the project. Apparently Buckingham Town are paying players this season! They play on a school pitch in Winslow they lost their ground because they spent years paying players rather than being prudent and sensible and planning for long term, they instead looked only inthe short term and for what? To satisfy the egos of a few guys their that they are the best local club? Well look where there are now. Pathetic really. How long can they sustain that while playing on a field? No entry to vase and Fa cup so no revenue from that. When are teams going to stop throwing money at players when in the end they can't afford it and worst case scenario the club goes under? Then they expect councils and all and sundry to come to their aid to pick up the mess they have made themselves. If I won the lottery of course I would give my team a budget etc but that would be money I could afford to lose I'm sure everyone on here would be the same but surely yours Aylesburys (who I have a real soft spot for having enjoyed some great games at Buckingham road) and Buckingham Towns should learn their lessons and put that precious cash into the club not mercenary players pockets and finding a ground in their towns no matter even if it is a park and going from there.

Something worth investigating but since it's Pre season I would guess those players aren't attached to you officially which is prob how they'll get round it. Where are Town getting money from? Roger Dance?

Its a shame, as the lads who have joined them really enjoyed themselves last season and were in a quandary on what to do, but the money was too good to turn down. Even spoke to a couple today and they were very upset but as they said, it pays their mortgage/rent.
