Savagebee
Are they bothering with pre-season as i havent seen one single pre-season game for them confirmed ?
The Mayor Of Simpleton
I can't see any on their website, then again a few clubs I have known in the past haven't bothered advertising pre-season games. Once, I was at a club where the pre-season games were pinned up on the board of the clubhouse and nowhere else. When I asked why the club didn't bother advertising them in the local papers or on a website their answer was 'why should we do that?' My reply was 'well, people might be interested in coming along to your games - that way you can gain more fans and therefore revenue.' Their response 'oh, if they are that bothered they can come down and see for themselves.' The words self and defeating came to mind.

The Mayor Of Simpleton
They certainly are, Savagebee, and the club in question went from Step 4 to almost Step 7 in the last five years! Now they are wondering why their maximum attendance of last season was 35, 25 of which were visitors on the day (22 away fans, 3 ground-hoppers). The Mayor Of Simpleton
No surprises at all, although the committee of the club in question are scratching their heads about it. They'd best be careful they don't get splinters in the process!

Green_Fingers
BIG NEWES FOR CB http://www.nonleague...=FULL&nid=86298 Fantastic news. Green Lane hasn't been used since the early 80's with Bison FC. Pitches drain really well there as they are 2 or 3 feet above the general level, but can be stoney. Didn't this Leagues' previous sponsor Seagrave have plans for that ground with Feltham FC? Smudge
Fantastic news for CB Hounslow, wish them all the best.As for ground improvements,Colliers Wood FC's newly relaid pitch, looks in immaculate condition, not a puddle in site. There is funding out there, for improvements,if you know where to look.Well done to both Clubs in obtaining Grants.
