Totally different team since then and they were terrible that season in the Ryman South anyway.

Badshot must be over the moon.in both the F.A. Cup and Vase,they are drawn against C.C.L. Sides.

Always nice to avoid CCL sides who we play regularly anyway.

 

We are at Arundel in the Cup and St Francis in the Vase. Both lower Sussex sides so we should match up well with them, based on last year's finish

Arundel is one of the most picturesque grounds around, so I hope it's better weather for your trip down there.

 

A shame you won't have time to visit the castle - I saw Level 42 there with an ex years ago.

Gutted about our FA Cup draw, was hoping for a non CCL side - even if we win we face another CCL side, so not much joy there.

 

FA Vase is better, with a visit from Sussex Div 1 side Sidley Utd.

 

Would be nice to have an away tie and a visit to somewhere new though, think in 8 attempts we have only been drawn away twice.

The pitch is not acceptable in the FA Cup so the game will be at Chatham Town FC on the Friday or Sunday!!!

How can Slimbridge be away at two sides on the same day?

 

Does seem weird that they'd be made to play that far east, as they normally get sides like Lydney and Bitton in FA competitions.

 

If they're taken to a replay, I'd advise visitors to make a weekend of it and visit Gloucester - a lovely city and also there's the Wildfowl and Wetlands trust just up the road from Wisloe Road (Slimbridge's ground, which is actually in Cambridge - not that one! It's pronounced CAM-bridge not CAME-bridge). Does cost a bit to get in, but it's worth it.

Mate you can never tell in cups but looking at it you would of taken that draw all day long

Lammas beat harefield last season and I think cc prem is a lot stronger than ssm prem

The winner of Cove v Slimbridge will face Thatcham Town on August 25th, with the winner of that game playing Fleet Town, Witney Town or Marlow away (strangely, for Slimbridge, they might also play Witney in the 1st Round of the FA Vase!)
