You obviuosly haven't managed a side otherwise you would not be asking the question about signing on forms.......you are the FAKE manager or was........... :o !

 

You post quoted IMO its still too early to start, I presume pre-season training ?

 

Well the season starts in a months time (thats 4 weeks to you). So in that month you start training, look at players and decide, which players you want, what that first session ? You haven't even seen them play ! So lets wait say one or two more sessions then decide thats another week gone, thats if anyone turns up that are not already training and signed on for another club !

 

So how many games you going to have in that month/3 weeks and be the fittest team in the CCL by running, running, running ? Answer that !

 

Then comes the games, how many in 3 weeks ? The players touch will certainly not be there simply 'cos the players don't touch a ball in pre-season comments made in your own words !

 

You have no idea ! Can all the other managers be wrong who have started their pre-season ? Go back in your cave with your ancient, medieval methods caveman !

 

Just stick to watching games............ ;)!

I'd have a fortune if I developed an app for this forum in which any of NG's posts that mention Duncs (or any of the witty alternate names he comes up with) and any of Duncs posts that talk about NG or use abusive language get hidden from view but all the remainder of their useful and insightful commentary is kept on show.

Anyway, the 'spat' here is nothing compared to what went on on the SSML forum. As I just posted on another thread, I was surprised PC Plod wasn't alerted!

Not the I LOVE FOOTBALL/LOOSE spat,they are the best of muckers now.Why should Plod be involved,are you really ADAM KING(AK 11)Now if you were AK47 we would all be ringing plod.

Yes, Smudge, am really Adam King - I've no time for nicknames (not a dig) and as for guns... well I have used them before - in Devon when I went shooting for the day at the Devon Shooting School in Crediton, Devon.

can somebody anybody tell me when players can start signing on because if nobody can sign on yet Hello then what is the point of these matches in theory all these lads can go and play elsewhere.

 

Dunc the Unc haven't you got yet it yet, no answer 'cos no-one wants to talk to you.and tell you....... :P !!!!

 

Anyway, thought you was only being a supporter of Ash this season............ ;) !

not the point i was aiming at Trev, why help players get fit only for them to feck off and sign for someone else in a couple of weeks time not saying it would happen but it is fiesable,what I have always done before any friendlies take place is look at them in training if you like them sign them and then let the friendlies give you the last piece of the jigsaw. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

...........but I thought you run their nuts off for weeks before considering even seeing a ball - you words, not mine - so how do you rate them as far as their football ability goes. I started over 20 years ago managing sides and it is always the same but works both ways. We have loads of players more than capable of getting into our side and they will spend many evenings training hard - you will see other posts talking about 30-50 people coming down - but many will ultimately not get signed. On the other hand, yes, players will train with you and then maybe try out at another club and sign for them, but it is a free country. We signed 10 players yesterday and will probably double that number during the week, but then we played our first friendly - the illegal one that was far too early - last Saturday and had a good look at all the new lads we have had down. Trust is a big thing in football and in life generally, and I always trust players to be honest with me and am rarely disappointed. Liam Holden started with us and played last week and work really hard in all the sessions and that game, so I had high hopes he would join. He has been asked to go down to Farnborough by Spencer and rang me to tell me this, and I wished him well and really mean it, as it would be great if he could do well like his mate Pagey. We put a fair bit of effort into get him and certain others down pre-season, and they all responded superbly from day one, but we have to accept that if other offers come along players may take them - certainly if they are a better standard and a chance to test yourself at the next level, or higher. You do seem to have a low opinion of players and that may be down to previous experiences, but preaching to some of us who have done this for years is a bit fresh. All managers and coaches have different methods and ideas, some work, some don't, but leave us all to do our jobs, our way.

 

And, yes, players can be signed on now and, once this is done, they fall into the 7 day rule. Forms are not sent out by the league as far as I am aware, but you simply download them as mentioned earlier and they are not dated - you enter the dates manually at the top.

Again what a load of Bollix you are spouting there must be dates on the correct forms or what would be the point of signing on each season are you sure you have done things correctly,I don't know if you;re aware of it but the season dont start untill early August and friendlie results meen feck all I am not preaching I am trying to help you as I have won loads in the past few years, what have you won if you haven't won anything who is doing the preaching kent.

Have you not been involved with this level of football in the last 10 years or so this is becoming tedious but here we go again Surrey intermediate league runner up in my first season as a manager, CCL Res Div runner up and champions and league cup and Tongham cup, CCL Prem Div,CCL Cup, Southern Combination Cup and Runner up, Aldershot Senior Cup and Runner up, oh and Two fans Focus trophies for good measure,also voted The top manager in our area along with Terry Brown who was at Aldershot by the Aldershot news and mail,and what have you won ?

Volcabulary , the constabulary from Spocks Vulcan home. Vocabulary is the word ( well its a lot of them really..)
