Well, the works must have been carried out in the last couple of days as it definitley was not reinstated at the weekend , so i dont know who inspected it and passed it .

Patrick I was personally up there with half of my team mates a week after the end of season helping with work carried out so I think you just need to open your eyes fella to see there is steps down to the pitch

I'm sorry pal if you could forward the number for ground force I'd be more than happy to give them a call to see if there help! And that type 1 is a lot better to walk down than the Metal we had to walk down last year in studs

A lot of match officials and players walked down the grass bank last season rather than use the metal steps as it was much safer. Hopefully that problem has been rectified.

I am not bothered either way about codicote or hatfield or what division they play in, but what does bother me is that most of the clubs in premier and div 1 have spent time and money following the instructions of fa ground grading requirements and satisfying our own league officials then to see that some grounds and changing rooms just do not come near and31st march was the date for having works completed, hatfield were not able to play at home in march, and the walkway is neither secure or complete , 8x4 sheets of ply fixed to wooden posts in a couple of places and the 4ft side up is not secure, i know it is something we all struggle with but you can spend money on your players or on your ground or if you are lucky on both , but we should be able to have faith in our league officials to treat everyone the same but it just does"nt work that way.

Without dragging up old arguments I agree with the above post, and I'm talking about the leagues attitude, not clubs. Good luck to Hatfield but it is the SSMFL who have failed the clubs who tow the line, not the hatfields of this world.

Agreed defo. Can't comment on this particular ground as I have never been, but it annoys me teams flouting ground rules crying poverty but paying players.

PTG... agree, those steps were dangerous. Walked down them once then every other time I used the grass bank. They were an accident waiting to happen.

As I said mate it wasnt aimed at them or that particular situation as I don't know it was more a general comment
