"However, at an emergency committee meeting called by the South Midlands League on Tuesday evening, it was decided that Hatfield would keep their place in the Premier Division at the expense of Broxbourne Borough".

 

So we are just awaiting confirmation from the SSML officials that this meeting did take place and the outcome was as published

Very sad news to read. Boro are a decent club with a big youth section but their first team struggle to attract decent crowds due to so many clubs in the local area. When I've been there always seems to be more people in the bar watching Premier League games on the big screen than outside.

 

I hope a new club reform and I hope to see them in whatever league they end up in. Maybe Div 2 (with most teams based Milton Keynes and surrounding area) wouldn't be a good option with not many local games... are they too late to apply for herts county?
