I'd say it's more confident than arrogant.

If you had to speak to the dimwit BBC, I'm sure you'd be the same.

Well what a day for British sport yesterday, indeed Britain, the only let down was of course the Team GB football team losing to 'the mighty' Korea on penalties when it would have been the icing on the cake had they won the game and progressed to the Semi Final

Congratulations to Andy Murray today in another magical London 2012 moment, it's a shame he couldn't win the Mixed Doubles too with the excellent Laura Robson

There's a piece about Hope Powell in Caroline Barker's excellent weekly column in yesterdays's Non League paper where Caroline asks the question when Hope Powell will Manage in the Football League, can anybody see that ever happening.

Not really surprising its caroline that asks the question "when?"

She is biased towards some of the bigger non league sides and it appears to women football managers now.

Hope Powell will not and couldn't manage a mans football team at professional level.

Of coarse she could, and the sooner we get female managers and coaches the better. Its absolutely ridiculous to discard over 50% of the population on the grounds of gender, and if we really want to improve attendances and make football family friendly then woman coaches would be a great start.

Whatever anyone's views on Karen Brady are personally, she has certainly made her mark in the football industry, and good luck to her I say.

I think that Hope Powell could manage a side at League 2/Conference Premier quite easily.

Maybe one day the FA will have to allow it, so as not to be 'sexist'.

Would I have played under a woman manager (no innuendo intended)? Yes, if I felt she was bringing out the best in my game and if her expertise could help on the pitch then why not.

Last night's Athletics was a bit disappointing wasn't it, I thought Dai Greene ran a shocker and Holly Bleasdale in the Pole Vault was poor

I'm assuming that you heard that Dai Greene was injured up until January of this year and hasn't enjoyed ideal training enabling him to "peak" at the right time and that Holly Bleasdale is comparatively a novice in the sport. Obviously we are enjoying a fantastic olympics and can't expect to win everything.

Rhodes- stick to football. You know nothing about athletics . After your uneducated comments about Mo on another thread , athletics does not want you. For the record as Loose say's Dai was injured having a major operation in December he did well to get there!. He ran better recently and probably peaked too early but the heats , semi. finals found him out- he was not fit enough . He will be fine for the World Champs in Moscow next year and probably the relays later in the Olympics. Holly must be gutted as 4 80 ie well within her capabilities. I was there last night and it was windy and the winning height was 20 cms below the WR so clearly its all relative and they found the conditions tough. Holly will respond she is a toughie. She certainly will not be 'Tweeting' blaming everyone else like footballers do after a failure!.
