It would be great if Seb Coe relieved Pearce of his duties with immediate effect and installed Beckham as Manager along with a high profile assistant, such as Harry Redkapp for example, to guide him as clearly he has no Managerial experience, the same squad could reluctantly be kept in place at this late stage for Beckham and his assistant to make the best they can out of. I think that would be a very popular decision all round other than obviously with Pearce who clearly has a hidden agenda, also to select no Scottish or Irish players was 'criminal'.

I am sure there was a guarantee that this would not happen. You would think at least he would have fitted 1 from each country, as Scotland's U21 are half decent. Better than the senior team.

How do you know this? How do you know he wasn't asked and declined. What about the fact all of the strikers have played a higher level than him.

It is believed that the SFA do not approve,does the lad really want to jeopardise his scottish career as the SFA can be a complete bunch of backwards buffoons at times

Yes their stance will certainly have had an impact, as evidenced by Julie Fleeting not being available for the women's team.

 

I think the welsh fa, were much more reasonable. Stating they did not support it, but the players were free to decide.

I suppose that as a footballer he is a pretty good role model for young professionals to look up to. As a human being and so called family man though, most people would think him to be quite despicable and he most definitely wouldn't have been my choice.

Missunderstood – What has Pearce actually achieved though as a player other that costing us the 1990 World Cup, if he had scored his penalty against Germany then I think Chris Waddle would have converted and it would have gone to sudden death
