Development, again!

The local council said that the delays in the Pleasurama sale was down to solicitors working for the council........As they seem to be the excuse the councillors are throwing out all the time why dont they sack the money grabbing ambulance chasing parasites and get someone in who knows what they are doing. Mind you if we had staff on the council who did their job properly it would show our inept councillors ( like Simon Moores) up for the waste of space they are

Not only the elected reps need a shake up "but" The paid officials as well. What as been going on in the local press as been a disgrace and proves to me that yes they all are a bunch of self gratifying shysters. The rigging of the airport vote to placate the 2 elected labour councillors on the nethercourt estate, upset the lady and gent and, the present leader loses his job. What really upsets me about the whole situation is this,when i talk to people about it they accept it as the norm. "Well what can we do about it"

Ice ring , what a great idea. more than likly end up in Hastings like the sea life centre did.

Just looking through Friday's Gazette and in the article about the Jobs Fair there's a bit where a Holiday Inn representative mentions something about how the company's looking to open another hotel in Margate. Would they want to build a hotel on an ice rink though ?

I have heard that a company have expressed an interest in building an ice rink in Margate and have approached the football club. It has nothing to do with the current stadium/development plans. The only thing that has changed is the parking on the plans and it is just an amendment that from what I can see that the council have suggested. I expect that IF MFC were interested in an ice rink,it would be part of an additional planning application that would come later on. I am told that the negotiations with Travel Lodge are at a later stage. There are not more 5 a side's being built and the pitch at the north Coffin end is a public open space pitch is no different to the one that already exists on Tivoli. I expect will replace it.

Re: Article about Jobs fair. A company wishing to increase production but coming up against planning dragging its feet. Will it be a case of a company having to relocate to grow. I hope not.

You mean the extention to the car park to the end of the football ground as requested as opposed to us concreting over the whole of Tivoli Park and the destruction of the Tivoli Woods as is still the story being feed to the residents of Tivoli Park Avenue (had someone from there have another go at me on Sunday over the plans and again had to put them straight)

 

Not sure who is continuing to feed the lies but believe they may own a childrens nursery nearby

On the subject of nurseries, but of a different kind, a few weeks back I had a look round the nursery/wasteground, next to the officials car park, that it was claimed was so frequently used by the public we could not possibly build on it.

 

Both routes into said area were overgrown and barely passable. Once inside it was clear that no-one had been in there for months!
