Who will Rhodes go and watch next season ?

Recommended Posts

Where will the man himself watch his footy next season will he return to Haringey Borough or will he sneak in to Hillingdon Boroughs ground to watch his beloveded Kentish Town play or will he start up a AFC Tokyngton Manor team full of his fave players.

?

Haringey Borough v Ampthill Town must be a good bet, he can then personally congratulate Craig on his achievements of last season.

Cliff would always be made to feel more than welcome at Romford. (home matches at Thurrock FC which is auguably the best non league ground in Essex).) , £8 entry, £5 concessions)

Strange OP this. Can't make out your purpose Savagebee. Rhodes has said before now that it's difficult to get to games at the moment due to the health of his mother, he shouldn't have to justify that any further.

The man is clearly troubled and some of us play along to that to keep him entertained but this baiting is a bit over the top. Who cares where he goes? You don't HAVE to go to games to be a fan of non league although it helps and Cliffy has clearly demonstrated an interest and at times attempts to provide a service which he puts some work into. When he's a knob and deserves it theres nothing wrong in giving it back but overt baiting is now getting ott.

Loosely – As you know I’ve literally been knocked over in the rush with offers from Club’s to join them next season but, as you thoughtfully pointed out, the deteriorating health of my Mother, who is 89 on 9 July, is an ongoing concern, I wouldn’t want to be at a game in darkest Buckinghamshire or Bedfordshire for example and get a phone call to rush home. Thanks for your concern anyway, it’s much appreciated.

Aren't these many many clubs who are knocking you over in the rush just a little concerned about how rusty you may be from being out of the game for so long? I'm always a little concerned about why none of them ever seem to want to credit you or pay you the respect you must be due by giving you official status or an actual job title?

Anyway, under the circumstances you will understand that I won't wish you an early return to the giddy heights of club admin but like so many ssml clubs out there must simply hope that your mother continues to have many birthdays even if so frail, my best wishes to her.

No one wishes any harm to anyone's Family members who ever they may be.

It's good that you are concerned for her well being Rhodes as I'm sure in return she appreciates you giving a considerable amount of your spare time on these forums rather than being at her side 24/7.

Ref Off Ref – Like I said I could be at a game at Ampthill Park for example and suddenly get a phone call that my Mother has taken a turn for the worse, I would then have to get a cab to Flitwick, the Thameslink back to St Pancras and then a tube which is roughly a two hour trip

Well I couldn't help but notice you agreeing with a post made by monkeymonkey8 along with several others the other day and here you are making remarks about him visiting Haringey and KT so if you're not running with the hares and chasing with the hounds digging him out what are you doing? Just asking since I did actually see your original post before you edited it.

No smiley for you I'm afraid.

No one says you have to travel far to take a game in, I'm sure you have teams local to you that does not endure a 2 hour journey.

If you made the effort to attend games then maybe your opinions on here would be validated.

But then I guess there's a reason why you don't often take a game in, is there?
