Enfield 35

Southport, what a hypocrite you are. Look at some of your recent posts, and you expect anyone to believe the final one.

From ESL Forum

"gate @ boring wood; 35." - Were you there, to count them, why are you so bothered.

"Now I am sure I saw a few EFC fans @ Brimmo yesterday." - You have put this on both sites, so what if if they were there. At least they are not as bitter as you.

"Do you reckon EFC will start to register?" - I think you are a closet EFC fan.

........................................

From EFC Forum

"Was good to see EFC supporters at Brimmo yesterday; how many others of you are going to come over ?" - See above

…………………………………………..

"well everyone else ( xcept 36 others) have given up" - I think you will find that there are more then 36, who care about EFC, and will do all they can to keep it running.

………………………………

"wot is happening is ur finished.

no chairman

no ground

no team

no supporters

no hope

no future" - And you then had the cheek to put the message below.

…………………………………….

"I am sure that NOBODY takes any pleasure in reading this.

I wish you guys all the best for the future."

I did notice a couple of fans at last Tuesday's match with Ilford that I hadn't seen since my EFC days so looks like some defecters are coming.

As for average attendances generally (to 18/10/03), EFC are easily the lowest in div 1 north with 54; however there even a lower one in div 1 south with 51; but to be fair to Banstead Athletic they were not one of the gretest non-leauge teams of all time in the UK, so not a fair comparison.

Hollie
u obviouisly are related to Lge Chairman, he/she take this board too seriously aswell. At the end of the day ( the sun goes down) I'm a football fan.

we all give and take stick; but I would not want to see EFC disappear; a local derby against Waltahm Abbey does not have the same feel! (sorry Abbey boys & girls)

face facts; less and less people are actually supporting EFC; and ETFC's fan base is growing.

anyway how's ur lad doin?

The chairman of Leyton FC was awarded 5000 pounds damages. Not a lot really.

And there's no need to shout.

hello invisable man do you not think we have taken enough stick over the last few mths all the snidy remarks about how many fans we got how many you got so what i really hope one day when efc move back to enfield you just watch all the fans flock back to see the real enfield then we will see what happens.........russ

Russ, I don't believe the fans will return to Enfield FC even if they were in Enfield. I think you would need Conference football to even average 500 supporters, cos in the Ryman Premier it was a struggle to meet that total, even before most of us left for ETFC. And that's not me giving out the stick but being realistic, cos you know I don't slag on the forums.

Coo-ee Russ.

We've mused and speculated a lot on here in the past about what might happen if EFC moved back to the borough - maybe it was before your time.

In all honesty I can't really see that happening now, though, can you? Frankly I didn't think it was going to happen anyway, but now there's no chance.

But for the sake of argument, if you did move back, there would be very few ETFC supporters who went back to the old club - a handful at most. "New" Towners who never followed the old club wouldn't move, of course. Maybe a few would watch both teams, whoever was at home.

You would pick up those who used to follow EFC but wouldn't come to the Town or go to EFC while Bin Lazarou is there, true, plus a few "floating voters".

I therefore don't think you would have got more than a hundred if you'd stayed in the Prem, but in Div 1N, I'd reckon you'd get something between 50 and 100.

But you won't be moving back, will you?

Blimey, I never realised anyone was THAT old!

Sorry, I actually meant before you were posting regularly on here.

I can't remember which was my first game, it was around 1964ish. I know I saw Ilford and B****t (cup game?) in my early days. I can't claim to have been rgular then, though, I was sporadic for many years and was tempted by the mighty Spurs down the road. I got more regular from around 1982.
