Two players who dropped down to Ryman North last year after being at Prem clubs. I'm not blown-away by these signings, but perhaps they'll be revelations!??

I'm a little more concerned at the suggestion a couple of our promotion winners are considering offers elsewhere. Need to hang on to Wallace for '12/'13 if possible!

O'Brien was one of the Pots Bar players who could not beat 9 Town players at their place.

However, lets not judge too early.

I was not impressed with Hicks when we beat Chestnuts 5 - 0, but good players come to the top when surrounded by good players, so lets hold

pre-conceived judgements until they have shown us what they can do in a Town shirt. Trust in Mr Newing.

Like others, I would like some news on who is retained from last season.

Rumours starting about players going elsewhere ( not good news ) and IF TRUE, will need more than these two midfield replacements.

Try telling that to the English players who watched the very good Italians last night.

If a few of the team from last year are considering offers from higher up the pyramid i'll be gutted to see them go but will wish them well.

Crowing Cockeral, I understand your concerns as we all don't want to see the best players go but if they get offered more money and/or higher level of football can you blame them? That's football I suppose? One word of warning to them though...look at Stuart Blackburne, he went to Boreham Wood and it didn't work out and was back within a few months??

Both Hicks and O'brien are good signings... one or both of them could be the goal scoring midfielder(s) we need since Jon Moore left?

Just let the boss get on with it the way he did last year even though the usual suspects kept questioning what he was doing.

Agree - why do we want players that weren't good enough @ Premier level last season; couldn't get a game and had to go to the mighty PBT to get beer money; doesn't seem very progressive

I think as Steve has always told us that players will be brought to the club that he thinks will add to the existing squad. Players will come who he feels want to play for the club and not for other reasons. The club has no sugar daddy and is run the correct way ( not say as per some , Kettering , Truro and Rangers spring to mind ). Steve has always said he will work to the budget provided and as such I for one think it promotes the right way for the club to progress, gradually and solvently. Big names and big ego,s don't guarantee success. Steve has said the players who got us up will be given their chance to prove that they can play at the next level. I think this is the way to go , continuity and stability since he came to the club have seen us progress year on year. Yes next season is a new and bigger challenge but one we should all be looking forward to positively not worrying about what might happen. If we need to improve and finances allow I'm sure as we have seen Steve will do his utmost to ensure it happens.
