Well done to Doug & Bedfont Town on rebuilding,but most importantly keeping the club alive. I enjoyed my time there & under different circumstances would have liked to have stayed with Doug.Good luck to you all. May I wish you every success.

Green Pea will not be returning.

 

I finished up all outstanding club business last Monday and advised all authorities that I have handed full control of the club back to it's modern-day founder and former Chairman Doug White. I have made it clear to Doug that I will not be accepting his invitation to rebuild the club and will now give my neglected family of 5 the attention they deserve. I may have the occasional kick about on a Saturday for the team in the Guildford & Woking League, if I've nothing better to do and my body can take it, will probably even pop along and see a few CCL mid-week matches, I'm relieved to now finally have the choice.

 

Doug as usual has big plans, he has planning granted on a site adjacent to The Orchard and I expect he will look to get a step 4/5 standard ground built there over the next few years without having to fund the expense of playing at that level in the meantime.

 

I wish him and the club all the very best.

 

One other thing, I'm still involved in the game as the Secretary of Ashford Town (Middlesex) Ladies and we're looking for talented new players for next season, if anybody has friends or relatives interested in playing then please drop me a PM or email which is on the website - http://www.ashfordtownmiddlesexfc.com/
