The squad of 2011/12 (remnants of )

We've been updated with a few squad additions and a few leaving which is good;albeit there remains the rump of last seasons squad which to be of my knowledge we have no idea what is happening.

 

I refer to the likes of:

 

Lawrence Ball,Corneille,Stubbs,Avery,Burchall,Murphy,groombridge,thomas and Lamprell.

 

 

Does anyone know-or better still could MFC advise-whether these players from last season have:

 

a) been released,

b)re-signed for 2012/13

c)offered terms for 2012/13 which are under consideration.

 

whilst there is absolutely no obligation to do so ,most clubs by now do provide that sort of info to their supporters-particularly in this age of 'open communication'-and if for no other reason to prevent mis-informed inaccurate rumours and all that twitter nonsense

We will be in a positon to share more information fairly soon. While the case of players actually signing for other clubs is atraight forward, Chris - and a lot of other managers - likes to keep his options open about re-signing players for the new season. Obviously new players come in and there's the budget to balance etc. etc. Once the season ends, most players are effectively free agents so all those you mention - while we may hold onto their registration - effectively the retained list - until they sign for us again for the new seaosn, they aren't Margate players.

 

The other thinking to bear in mind, is that Chris has often done some of his squad building business late in the break, therefore keeping his options open, and there is still bags of time between now and 18th August.

Thank you-so if i interperet correctly-non of the players i listed have to date been signed for 2012/13 and we may thus see some of those re-signing over the coming weeks-but equally some of them may head for pastures new

what we don't know of course is who (if any) of those players have been offered contracts-and who have'nt.

whilst many clubs may'reveal' their retained list and who is 'considering' a new contract-i can understand that MFC may chose not to provide such info-which is arguably sensitive and personal
