Savagebee - I'm not trying to prove anything, I'm only saying that I know how his mind works that's all and can read him like a book

Knowing you as I do you must be as proud as a peacock to walk out for an FA Cup tie and like a dog with two tails

And what, exactly, is wrong with that? I've been involved with non-league football for 22 years and I always get a massive buzz on FA Cup days. I've only been involved with one run to the First Round Proper, plus several that ended in the Fourth Qualifying Round and all have been fantastic experiences.

You sound like a stalker Mr Rhodes.

Lost 2-0 not the greatest of games but occasion was brilliant. I still think if we had of had Gary Abbott up front (suspended from being sent off v Torquay) we would of at least scored and who knows?

I Love the FA Cup. Looking forward to the draw and hope the SSML teams do well

Cheering till the end.....i remember...City fans loved it! Great banter as well. Used to love watching Enfield play....i still remember when Barnet came over in the FA Cup and it was on TV....lost 4-1 i think...great times

Not as good as beating Barnet 7-0 at their place in the 4th Qualifying round back in October 1985!

Leicester was a good day out, but the replay at Torquay the round before was excellent as well

I see that the Wembley FC debate is all over the Non League paper today like a rash with the jury still very much out on whether the Club are opening themselves up to ridicule which seems a bit harsh.

1985 was a touch before my time in terms of going to games.....i dont think i was aloud to go Torquay (thanks mum)!!

my "thanks mum" moments were:

1) missing the 1988 FA trophy FINAL replay at The Hawthorns

2) missing BOTH replays away to Leyton Orient, in the FA cup, in 1989

I was at Torquay... magic stuff...

Ditto with the "thanks mum" on 1 and 2.

Was at Wembley but it was a school night for The Hawthorns and Dad was working!

Yes he was player manager wasn't he? I was buzzing for that game really thought we were going up!

Paul Furlong was smashing in goals back then.....didn't we have Andy Pape in goal?

TCE- are you from Enfield?

Grew up in Bush Hill Park but since emigrated to Royal Hertfordshire when I got married
