TRS
Indeed, but hopefully it means he can produce a full Prem fixture list at least on the intended date (around 23 July). Edit - forgot Godalming (Badshot Lea) have moved over to the Southern, so it's as you were! Edited July 12, 2012 by TRS
The Mayor Of Simpleton
Hopefully, it shouldn't take too long for Whitelaw to compile them, once Ashford Town (Middlesex) have their home and away dates sorted. The ground-sharers (Croydon with AFC Croydon Athletic and Cobham with Mole Valley SCR) should be simple enough, but due to the Olympics won't Sheerwater have to play their first game away from the Athletic Stadium due to it being a training venue for the Olympics? Worcester Park's ground-share with the cricket club might also mean they have to start away (or, like Stourbridge and Causeway United, have to play August home games at a neutral venue?) bomaya
Surely Alan needs to see Whyteleafe's fixtures before he can give Warlingham any home games?
Smudge
You are right, but thought Kent League would of been out early, but a team share with Herne Bay,therein lies the problem.

AFC Wimbledon, AFC Walingford to name a few. Even poor old Warlingham got a steam rolling when they won it and they found themselves playing 4 games a week to catch up after a bad winter. The Mayor Of Simpleton
It always struck me as strange that AFC Wallingford went into the Combined Counties, and not the Hellenic Leagues.

bomaya
As has been said, this isn't the CCL's fault. Because of ground sharing, there has to be liaison with other leagues such as the Ryman and Southern - and they have only just come out with their fixtures. Plus it's not true to say nobody knows their first fixtures. Those playing Guernsey do.
The Mayor Of Simpleton
What has been mentioned on another forum, and in a post in a non league publication, is ditching the agency which compiles the fixtures (ATOS) because of incompetency with the fixtures. The 'beef' is not with the fixture compiler (indeed, most people are deeply sympathetic towards him at a tough time) but the fact that they had no 'Plan B' (not the singer!) I agree that there should have been a deputy/assistant who could have done the fixtures in this guy's absence. I'm sure that if Alan was laid up with flu, and was unable to do the Combined Counties fixtures, he'd have plans in place for somebody else to do them. Non League Nigel
Two weeks on Saturday till the new season starts, and still nobody knows who they are playing yet. Fantastic! Sunday Pub Leagues are more organised! Thats a ridiculous statement. What can the league do when fixtures higher up havent been published yet? The whole process at the top should be done in June but until clubs can keep themselves in order financially there will be a constant reshuffuling of divisions which makes the task impossible If you want to accuse anyone of sunday league than look at the sussex league which distributes fixtures monthly
The Mayor Of Simpleton
The Midland Alliance also do month-by-month fixtures, although the clubs get a full list of fixtures (August-April/May). Why not just release the whole lot in one go, if there's no hold ups?
