Most travelled for a football match

Recommended Posts

By the sounds of it Sun Postals beat that by around 93013000 miles. They are my hot tip to win league this year, let's hope those Postal players can deliver aye!. :D

OD's - Does that include fans, if so it certainly puts LATO to shame doesn't it. I would love to know what the furthest he has ever travelled to a game in this Country is from his Northolt base, possibly Chalfont St Peter.

Nobody has travelled as far as you Rhodes, you're from a different planet!

Ref Off Ref - I just find it amusing how LATO never ventures far afield for games that's all unless that's just when he hooks up with the so called 'Friends of Ruislip Manor' (FoRM) and he actually travels further under his own steam, I know he has been to games in his native Poland.

Ref Off Ref - Well partly because it's not very pleasant to go to a game and feel like you are something the cat has dragged in simply for telling a few home truths on a Forum

That would explain why you don't go SSML games, but what about other leagues?

Surely, within the Travelcard area, you could get to games in The Premiership, The Football League, The Isthmian League, The Southern League, The Combined Counties League, The Essex Senior League, The Hellenic League, The Kent League, The Essex Olympian League or The Middlesex League (apologies if I missed anybody).

Or have you told "a few home truths" about all of them too?

Or is it simply that you don't actually like football, only football forums where you can sit behind a keyboard and wreak havoc...

Sjj2112 - I do go to games in the League's you mentioned albeit not to the extent I used to when I would have given you and Football Man a run for your money

Sjj2112 - May I just add that I had done the 92 almost before you were born, albeit not seeing a game at each, I used to bunk off school or get my mark and then disappear to a ground for the day

If you haven't seen a match at a ground then you haven't done the ground. You, therefore, hadn't done the 92 "almost before I was born."

If you haven’t seen a match at a ground then you haven’t done the ground

Sjj2112 – I believe that point has been debated long and hard many times and the view is the exact opposite, what difference does it actually make whether you have seen a game at the ground or not as long as you have been to it and managed to get inside for a look around

I've seen most of the grounds thro the years on TV, if it doesn't include actually going inside to watch a game then who's the t**t for wasting all that mileage?

Try suggesting that on the TK forum and you will get pretty short shrift (except you can't because you're banned)

The fact that you are happy to count a football ground despite not seeing a game there is further proof that you don't really like the football side of things...

Sjj2112 – Not at all, more often than not I used to turn up un-announced at a ground and whoever was there at the time took me under their wing and gave me a guided tour for the best part of hour, you could therefore argue that ‘getting the tick’ in that way was preferable, as well as more enjoyable, to actually seeing a game at that ground.

Not if your aim is to see a football match at a football ground.
