best overall ground last season

Recommended Posts

Went to a few, was made to feel really welcome at CB Hounslow, watched a few good games over at Cobham and Lammas but my best day out was the game between Egham town vs Raynes park vale in january, I think RPV won 1-0. The pitch held up well considering the weather and was made to feel very welcome,, even got bought a pint by a complete stranger

I like Egham Towns ground because it has stands on all four sides of the ground a proper old non-league ground in my opinion also love the Welcome to the Jungle sign behind one of the goals :D

I dont mind CB Hounslow's ground its an interesting ground in a nice green location but i have to say the toilets and clubhouse are poor.

Have to agree a little, but not having visited Windsor personally,I cannot comment on the ground, which I presume you must think is the best in C.C.L.And would of had rave reviews, under the heading, but this Forum is not the norm,or as regimental as some.

I didn't go there either this season but have in the recent past when Bedfont green groundshared, its a lovely place and great facilities the fans were horrible and had a row when someone told me to feck off back to my caravan (funny now but not at the time )so I have a mixed opinion about the place.

Thanks Smudge. I can't recall any club not being welcoming or hospitable towards us during last season. My favourite grounds though have to be Dorking - wonderful town centre location and Farnham Town. I simply loved the banked terrace above the goal.

Duncs, I assume those comments came from Bedfont people and not Windsor?

Tricky one this, I like a lot of grounds for different reasons. Must say was I impressed with Westfield's new set up, love the bar and balcony arrangement and of course a great view of the pitch. Have to say Meadowbank ;) - lovely views, good company and less than 5 minutes walk, front door to turnstile!

Not a CCL club, but they were Playing one in the Vase when I visited,Whitley Bay for me. If only it wasn't so cold though!!!!

Try Blyth on a wet Tuesday in January! Nearest thing to being put in a chest freezer!

Not CCL, but I would say best - Harrow Hill (of which Harry Hill, the comedian, is a Hon. Club Member) and the worst - Veggie Hippies United aka Forest Green Rovers. I don't hate many teams, but ever since the mad hippy Dale Vince took them over they've lost a lot of respect in the football world. Last week, Trevor Horsley (the man who saved them from going under about 10 years ago) left the club because he could not work with a chairman more keen on boosting his ego and 'green credentials' than actually concentrating on football matters.

I always base the answer to this question on the welcome received.

I don't recall any really bad experiences last season (though there are a few grounds I don't like going to much) but I would say that my trips to Egham (3-3), Hanworth (1-3) and South Park (twice - 0-1 & 2-1) were the most enjoyable.

I always enjoy visiting Raynes Park Vale & Dorking.

Really looking forward to re-visiting Hartley Wintney again.

I am hoping the Guernsey away game is after September due to cricket commitments!

I am not flying there though! :o
