And they think they have the new wembley!!

john558:

Yes it will make Fallingdown Park even more shabby.

In my opinion I think hartsdown park is far neater and far more welcoming ground, than a field surrounded by cheap fencing.

See the pics my friend! Are Aldi selling those rose tinted glasses again. Last time I was there when the ball went over the goal at the Jacky Bakers end it ended up in stinging nettles.

Jackey bakers end? You lot been out on that wasteland with a rifle again this year for the foxes?

Pictures shame the rest of the ground clubhouse looks like the armpit of thanet.

You must feel ashamed of Fallingdown Park, you would have to repair it before Downfast would pull it down.

For all your grand plans, what do you have? Southwood is old, yes but it’s a proper football ground and getting better.

Build houses last time I went there looked like they were growing cabbages on the ploughed field they call a pitch!

Don't think anything at hartsdown is falling down, but certainly a lot getting bodged at deadwood!!

Try Roundup to kill the stinging Nettles around your pre-fabs, they are not really your dressing rooms are they??

Bums on seats I dont think so. Only two men put them in says it all about them! Probably be the only two sitting in them! $hit ground no fans but they have some second hand seats

If our ground is how you call it Tesco Bazza what does that say about Fallingdown Park then? I think MFC should change their colours to GREEN......Green for ENVY

Hartsdown park john I think you will find is a neat little ground. Which needs the development (not bodging up) to push us to the next level. You must have realised this when you came for the cup game last season. However deadwood is a wreck which is getting bodged up. Nothing is falling down at hdpn but watch out for the potholes in your car park don't want you falling over!

I think Southwood serves Ramsgate's needs perfectly and they have done well to make the improvements that they have. I remember playing there with those very low floodlights blinding me and giving me a migrane. Since then they have got better lights and covered terracing. That said WHEN Margate get this development underway, we will have a new state of the art football ground that couldn't be compared to Southwood. If I were Ramsgate FC i'd seriously be thinking of replacing the tired old clubhouse building and the changing rooms first and then look to address the pitch. The pitches problems I think, come from when every Ramsgate youth team used to train on it during the week. I don't think thats the case now but I remember it being just one mass of mud. Southwood as it is could probably take Ramsgate to Conference South, Hartsdown as it is could but I think Margate's ambitions are a little higher. That said, anyone who gives up there time for their football club and helps to make improvements unpaid deserves credit. Even if they are a red.
