Kentish Town New Home

Recommended Posts

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those for their kind and appreciated comments on our club. The last two seasons have taken their toll on the club both on the pitch and off. But the Club has a committee dedicated to keep the club going, and they have all worked tirelessly to improve the club in every way. We had an enjoyable time at Copthall and have tasted success as well as failure in that time. But in the end the might of Saracens was to great for us to fend off. I would also like to wish Saracens the very best for the future in their new home. Like us they fought their battle to find a permanent home and they won. We have travelled widely and met many people and 99% of them are footballing people through and through and all working to benefit their clubs and football in general.

So having said all that WE WILL BE PLAYING OUR FOOTBALL FOR THE NEXT TWO SEASONS AT - HILLINGDON BOROUGH. I would like to thank the owners of the Middlesex Stadium for accomodating us.

Kentish Town are lucky to have secured a last minute groundshare at an authentic, old fasioned, non league ground, I'm assuming that it will only be for the one season and Chase Lodge Playing Fields will be ready for 2013/2014:

Instead of assuming all the time why don't you simply learn to read. That way when you comment on things it will be based on facts not the bizarre thoughts in your own little head.

Sjj2112 – Fair comment, I hadn’t picked up on that but to be honest I take everything Kentish Town say with a pinch of salt as the Club’s long term plans rarely, if at all, work out. Also if they succeed in upsetting Hillingdon Borough, for whatever reason, next season like they did Haringey Borough and Potters Bar Town then Hillingdon won’t want them around in 2013/2014 will they. What I fail to understand though is that Kentish Town were handed Chase Lodge Playing Fields on a silver, sorry, golden platter by Camden Council in partnership with Hampstead FC, the World is now the Club’s oyster but what are they doing about it.

What everybody else fully understands is that you a bitter individual who gets his kicks constantly sniping at a group of individuals who are doing their level best to run a non-league football club. You profess to love the "beautiful game" yet you spend all of your time denigrating people who truly do love, and do something for, football.

If only you could put as much energy in doing something positive for the game. The fact is that you only hang around to see what you can get out of it. When asked on the Basildon United thread whether or not you'd be able to help them out your response was "Basil-Don has got my phone number if he needs me for anything." Surely if you loved the game, and felt that you had anything to offer, then you should have done just that and offered. Your approach is to wait to be asked and then to tell all and sundry how you were asked especially to help.

Point 1 - Upsetting previous Clubs - If you just stop and think for one minute that was under the previous Chairman who has nothing to do with the club now and has not for the last few seasons.

Point 2 - Handed Chase Lodge - Please try and stay to the facts, Chase Lodge was not handed to anybody. There was a lot of work, bids, conversations and meetings that took place for a year before our bid was accepted and the CCFSA became owners of Chase Lodge.

Point 3 - What are KTFC doing about it - What the hell has that got to do with you?

This may sound like a stupid question but why does Rhodes dislike Kentish Town so much ?

Another club who saw him for what he really was and booted him before he could cause anymore carnage

Keeps - Keith Stanfield you mean, actually he was a really good Coach so that just goes to show how much you know

Keeps - He might have been a bit wet behind the ears and played his two sons in the team ahead of better players but I've never met a more genuine bloke, one son graduated from the Royal Academy of Music shortly after leaving Kentish Town and is one of the best violinists in the World today who can wipe the floor with the likes of Nigel Kennedy and Vanessa-Mae.

What does all that have to do with being a good coach? playing two worse players is proof enough he wasn't. Sorry I couldn't read this and not post.

Keith was bought into the club by the past chairman, and with hindsight he was very very wet behind the ears and not up to the task, he tried to make the jump from youth football to senior and it did not work. He was a very pleasent man and I have no bad words to say about him. He was also used so that the chairman could play one of his sons in the team, which in its self was a big mistake. All clubs learn from their mistakes so Keith was released from his duties by the hard hitting director of football at the time. What a bleeder he was, no heart and no compassion............so they tell me.

If that's a dig at Keith then it's a childish one, obviously he charged the Club the going rate for washing the Reserve Team kit, why should he pay out of his own pocket!

Going Rate - £72,00 per kit wash - how many coaches dry clean their kit, or is it tyhe norm...............

Also Keith worked hand in hand with Clement Temile throughout the 2007/2008 promotion season as First Team and Reserve Team Coaches should, unlike at many other Club’s where they’re often at each others throats or the First Team Coach isn't the slightest bit interested in the Reserves

Have to be honest Rhodes.........after reading through your 29000+ posts this is the only one that associates the car washer with the kit washer....

What happened to 'the great' when referring to Clement Temile?

3praise - I still can't believe you're back in the fold, where were you working out of interest as you said you were out of the Country for a couple of years. Clement wasn't comfortable with all the Worldwide publicity he was getting when he was with Haringey Borough and particularly at Kentish Town, he's a very modest and down to earth guy, what you see is very much what you get.

I was on her majesty's secret service Rhodes.

Rhodes, I really don't know what your issue is with both Haringey and Kentish, I have had close contact with both clubs and have thoroughly enjoyed my time there and was made to feel extremely welcome. In this day and age of austerity and financial crisis I think it's amazing that non league clubs are still finding ways to stay afloat and they should be commended for that rather then trolled on by you.

To stay on topic, congratulations Kentish town on the new ground share.
