Recommended Posts

Here are all the prestigious awards folks, I see that Jimmy Hill of Harpenden Town won the Leading Goalscorer gong:

I cannot understand how Jimmy Hill won the leading goalscorer trophy if it is league games only matt newman and e protain scored 43 each compared to jimmy hills 39 , if it is all comps newman scored 50 compared to hills 46, anybody got any ideas how they calculate top scorer ?

Its all league and SSML cup games. I've just put it on the fixtures & results section in downloads - see http://spartansouthmidlands.goalrun.com/leagues?downloads&lid=398 This is the official list made from the result sheets - not from what is phoned in on match days which is what is on Mitoo.

Here's a little clue so that Rhodes can stop thinking.

You missing a vital point Rhodes - all away clubs mark the home clubs for hospitality so one man cannot possible sway the markings.

Actually, there isn't a mark given on the result sheet for hospitality by the clubs, only by referees. The clubs' marks are for sportsmanship.

On the SSML Referees Report (which I'm staring at this moment) the Referee marks both Clubs out of 100 for their Sportsmanship and the home Club, again out of 100, for their Hospitality.

There are two separate awards for sportsmanship - one given by the clubs and one by referees. There is only one hospitality award - that given by the match officials.

I believe that Leverstock Green won a total of £550 in prize money for winning the Secretary of the Season and the Discipline and Respect awards at the AGM last Saturday, I wasn’t aware there was a prize fund involved
