Article in question sourced from the Canvey website and they are only aware of half the facts. It's a shame that not all clubs take the same line we do. For example, with Wayne W, we only announced he was going, not where, becasue that's up to the club the player signs for. If / when anything happens you'll hear about it from us in the usual way.

I think you have got the wrong impression of what we think about Hollaway coming to HDP he will be welcomed with open arms by the genuine MFC supporter and I have already heard good things about him .

 

Unfortunatley Welling do seem to have drawn the short straw with not 1 but 2 rejects from Ramsgate as there new goalkeepers (sorry Big JT).

 

Turner was at Welling as a kid, then about 7 years ago. If you look at his record since hes been back (mostly as number 2) you will be impressed. JT is still a more than decent keeper , put it this way, hes playing in Blue Square South and you arent. JT seems better than ever over the last year and has come back from a double hernia. Kent non league legend and top bloke.

Agree the remark top bloke but the "he's playing Blue Square South and you are'nt" sounds like school yard taunting, surely we are mostly adults on here and juvenile digs dont seem necessary....

I think he had a disprespectful dig at a goalkeeper who has given great service to a number of kent clubs over 15 or more years and who is a top bloke. it was just a gentle reminder that the guy he was taking the piss out of is playing at a higher level than his team.

 

If people are going to be juvenile and direspectful then people will respond in the same vein.

 

Holloway was released from Welling and Turner was already at Welling as number two. Also Welling seemed to target Sam Mott for this season which is probably why Holloway was released along with wage demands. Hardly a short straw to have JT.

You obviously have not changed over the years in your stiring on other peoples forums (were you not great friends with UU) all I was saying was that IMO Craig at that point in time was a superior goalkeeper that JT (I still think he is by the way).
