so why is he in Ryman now?

i believe SO was ex Conference and all that.....

Biggest failing of non league managers is knowledge of goalkeeping,,,,,,IMO ;)

And as for the Pro 1 Academy..........not something to shout about being part of.............

Simple - One of the skills CK has always had is his ability to sell his vision for Margate FC and get players to want to be a part of that vision.

So the next step is to sell the 'vision' to the right players.....it was a bit blurred last season ;)

Well if twitter says it -it must be right-but think i'll still prefer to wait for confirmation from the 'gospel that is wellsie'

Coming back to Holloway-obviously been around the block and suspect i have seen him play somewhere, but has not formed a lasting memory-i think that what you need is just some stability-DON'T GET INJURED -does'nt have to be the best in the world-like all keepers-he'll make a couple of howlers in the season, but just hope not too many.

i think CK/overland were a bit unlucky last season-Overland early injury caused a bit of instability ,and indeed-if Overland had played in the first few months-i reckon he would have had a better season anyway-he was a bit unlucky-and i still think a decent keeper.

always dangerous to assume-but i assume at this stage that Overland is not retained as opposed to Overland and Holloway fighting it out for the no 1 goalie berth?

Re Holloway:

Guys dont be so cynical, he was exceptional at Welling for the 2 or 3 of months at the end of last season, Organises the defence , probably the best shot stopper in Non League, hes won titles, he young. He will sort your defence out if there are any problems. Lives in South London so travelling should be fine.

He came to Welling when they sold a player to add a boost to squad from the money generated from transfer fee, given Welling lost in the final 1-0 and just missed promotion, the budget has gone back to normal and i think this is the only reason Hollas isnt staying, given Wellings aim to live within means and continue to void issues of a couple of years ago we have to accept the decision.

Hopefully weve got a more than adequate replacement in Sam Mott from Thamesmead, i know for a fact you have an exceptional keeper.

Have a look at the official welling site for a good look at Holloway in action on video. Youve got a proper decent keeper, get behind him.

Good luck Hollas

I think you have got the wrong impression of what we think about Hollaway coming to HDP he will be welcomed with open arms by the genuine MFC supporter and I have already heard good things about him .

Unfortunatley Welling do seem to have drawn the short straw with not 1 but 2 rejects from Ramsgate as there new goalkeepers (sorry Big JT).

Good signings, not least Beales who was tremendous last season. Looks like the Kwesi money is being spent well.

Craig had a bad injury about six years ago, which probably cost him a chance at a few league clubs that were interested in him at the time. Top goalkeeper who will do well at Margate.

Having just looked up the details of Craig's career he seems to be a very good signing, played a lot of Conference National games for Gravesend / Ebbsfleet and Farnborough and since then has been first choice keeper at several Conference South sides. He never played for Arsenal's first team in a competitive game but he did make the bench a few times. Quite a few clubs but he's always played regularly for them.
