.......... JUST FOR A CHANGE.

 

I received a text from our Steward at 6:30 this morning to inform me that the club-house had been broken into, yet again !

 

The good news is, as I have been doing a bit of PR with local neighbours, one of them saw someone breaking in through a window during the night and dialled 999.

 

Low and behold, there actually was a mobile patrol in the vacinity.

 

They arrived on the scene to discover Burglar-Bill, WITH his loot ! Needless to say, after all the problems the Club has had with break-ins and vandalism, we will be pushing for the strongest penalties !

 

I shall be at Meadowbank, with many others this afternoon, doing some renovations whilst the pitch is weeded and seeded !

 

Anybody who wants to turn up is more than welcome, and as our trusty Steward is now also one of those responsible for the pitch, he will be there with the bar keys !!!!

Yep slap on wrist coming up.

 

Good to see they were caught though and that the neighbours were actively involved. they dont want the scum anymore than the club does so good they work together

hi im the bar manager/ groundsmen at dorking and im pleased to say ive had an update from the officers dealing with this and the guy has now been charged for burglary and will be in court in the next 2 weeks i would personally like to say a big thankyou to the police and fans support at this hard time for me, having done so much refurb work and to see this happen is heartbreaking, many thanks, brandon

Suggest they're taken from there to suitable place of execution, there to be hanged by the neck until dead.

Or maybe they'll just be let off with a warning...?

Or stick him in a room with NG and make him listen to him for a whole day.........

Ignoring Father Jack's puerile attempt at humour above, I can report that I have been talking to the Editor of the Dorking Advertiser, who informs me that ONE person HAS been charged, (of 'no-fixed'-abode', no less), and that person will appear in Reigate & Redhill Magistrates Court in early June.

 

Watch this space ??
