Hi folks

 

I was talking to a friend of a friend the other day and he said that he heard Eton Manor and Basildon United were withdrawing from ESL next season. Is their any truth in that?? does anyone know of any other team withdrawing or new teams coming in??

Basildon did give their intention to resign, but now they have been saved so will compete in the 2012-13 Essex Senior League.

 

There was a rumour going round that Eton Manor were going to resign but this did not materialise. If a club wished to resign its senior status it must have done so by 31st March, or face a £1000 fine. Eton Manor did not do this, so looks like they will be in the league next season.

 

Witham have definately been promoted to Ryman 1 North, and we'll be gaining Great Wakering (who finished bottom of Ryman 1 North and will therefore be relegated!). Otherwise until the AGM we won't know for sure who is coming up from Step 7, but from what I have heard, no-one is.
