Westminster council deal with private landlords.

I hear the "Self gratifying shysters"(politicians)from the City of Westminster Council have done a deal with private landlords(Housing associations I presume. What deal have they made? As they undoubtedly have housing stock in both areas) to move families from their area to Thanet. This only a month or so after our own Self gratifying shysters said, it would not happen as local people would get priority in the housing market £££££££. Also only a couple of weeks after it was announced, we would be accepting families from the London Borough of Newham.

I have nothing against the people, It is the stress this will put on our already over stretched services. Unless of course these people are in and continue to be in employment ????

Well done to Rochdale council and Macclesfield Council who told Newham were to put them.

Come on the "THANET GAZZETTE". Do your Job, "ASK THE QUESTIONS"

Not our problem "Coffin Ender". For those that live in the disorganised termite mound that is London, you have plenty of room to build. Black Heath, Ascot race course, leafy Sutton etc, only a couple of months and there will be housing available in the Olympic village or is that for the privileged. How many social box flats could be built on Stamford bridge or would that cause the over inflated house prices to plummit. How many social box flats could you fit into Battersea power station if Chelsea don't move. Loads of options "SORT IT YOURSELVES". As for players, no doubt the Gate would pay wages giving that, those with families could get Family tax credit giving them the opportunity to sort themselves out also.

I'm with Graeme on this one. For far too long we have been the dumping ground for others. The two housing estates being built at Westwood have already been assigned to London Boroughs.

If we had the jobs then fair enough but we dont, the bloody Turner Centre has not created that many positions!!!!!(as its the only thing the Council has agreed on)

Look after your own first then help out others if we have the capacity

Politically it would be suicide for the government to send people from the inner-city to leafy areas. The Tories could wave goodbye to half of their MPs if they did that. Might as well dump them on towns like Margate that went down the khazi decades ago. Nation states can no longer control their borders and people are living longer and are more likely to live in single person households. The pressure on housing will just get worse and worse. The only practical solution is to kill everyone once they reach the age of 60.

That would mean the death of just about every one of the MISA volunteers at Margate FC.

Better make my will then Harvey.

I want to know how many can Thanet take.

As part of my job I see so many things. I get to see places and talk to the staff, some of it sickens me. I know that we would not wish some of the peoples problems on anyone. We have countless kids homes,Some of the stories I hear are heart wrenching, these kids need care but, make no mistake most of these kids know how to play the system and rules, they are given things my and I am certain your kids can only dream of.

Homes for the criminally insane(to introduce them back into society!). Countless half way houses for youngsters with problems, a London authority School, for kids with problems, which is only here because they can get away with paying just basic minimum wages.

Already we have an area which a government dept said is classes as a "ghetto" and not a safe place for a woman to walk alone.

Newington is quiet, thanks to the authorities clearing out problem people from the centre, prior to demolition and renewal. it is a pleasure to live there at the moment. The new properties that are being built, they look pleasant to the eye. Though, as it seems the modern way they are timber framed, held together with plaster board and have a non structural brick facing. Everyone is hoping the authorities/ associations use their heads and do not use the new centre as a dumping ground, again.

Our self gratifying shysters need to get their heads out of the sand. Stop thinking they are clever playing their "I can play with yours but, you cant play with mine" style games.

Thanet is a great place, "Grow some balls and sort it out".
