Haringey Borough have recently secured a 'major sponsorship deal'

Recommended Posts

I see from the Club's website that Haringey Borough have recently secured a 'major sponsorship deal':

MAJOR SPONSORSHIP DEAL FOR BOROUGH

The Club is delighted to announce the creation of a sponsorship deal with Buckingham Group Contracting Ltd whose Head Office is in Stowe, to the west of Milton Keynes.

With a company history dating back to the formation of Buckingham Plant Hire in 1955, over the past fifteen years the Buckingham Group has been one of the fastest growing Civil, Rail and Construction Contractors in England. The company is now an established Main Contractor, undertaking significant multi-disciplinary construction projects in a range of sectors.

Buckingham have a history of working on football stadiums including the construction of the new Amex Stadium for Brighton &Hove Albion. Whilst working on the re-development of the site opposite Coles Park they kindly approached the Club and have offered their assistance with much needed groundworks and drainage works.

Club Chairman Aki Achillea stated "It's a fantastic gesture by Buckingham who are committing men, machinery and materials to help the Club improve the facilities which have been dilapidated for some time. Such improvements will go some way towards helping Haringey Borough Football Club achieve the requisite ground grading needed to move the Club forward. With the men's team having their highest finish in the League, the women having been promoted back to the Premier Division and the ground improvements, matters are certainly moving in the right direction, enabling us to continue to strive towards giving the Local Community a Club to be proud of".

Buckingham's site foreman Stephen Bucknall stated "We are delighted to be able to offer our services. The opportunity arose as a result of our close proximity to the Club and we felt that if we could make a difference to the Club we would be more than willing to assist. We are keen as a Company to help where we can and are delighted that our services have been so gratefully received by a group of hard working individuals at the Club. We are well aware of the cost of such works to Club's in the position of Haringey Borough and we hope that our intervention and assistance will go some way to helping the Club achieve it's aims and ambitions".

It's also interesting that the time of your reply is actually before the original post? Cliff, it isn't possible to post on someones behalf... well I can't anyway. The only way this could've been done is if someone knows your login details... maybe a password change is in order. I suspect you're just a [****!!****] mental schizo....

No, you replied to a very old topic - and so rather than replying to a very old topic, the topic was split with this post being the opening post to a new topic. Always better to start a new topic that respond to an old one from last year :)

Why are a Buckingham company not sponsoring one of the buckingham side

Winslow Boy - The article says that 'the opportunity arose as a result of the company's proximity to Haringey Borough' which I find strange if, as you say, they are based in Buckinghamshire, perhaps the company's Chairman is from Australia and 60 odd miles is just a stones throw away to him

Working proximity they were in a job just over from coles park thats what that refers too. I just don't understand why they haven't put that into one of their local clubs Town or Athletic

I see from Buckingham Group Contracting Limited's website that their Head Office is in Stowe, the high profile company specialise in sporting projects so it appears Haringey Borough have really fallen on their feet this time although you have to wonder what's in it for them with the large Coles Park site in a prime location, there has to be method in their madness in getting into bed with Haringey Borough of all Club's:
