RG always come across as a decent enough guy who never seemed to be part of the rock and roll lifestyle that killed so many of his contemporaries at an early age. Must say I never cared for the Bee-Gees music though.

The Gibb family seem to be fated, much like the Kennedy's.

 

I've never been a great fan of their music, though I do appreciate their talent. Though soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever was good.

 

My crowning moment was when the Gibb brothers walked off the Clive Anderson Show, when Anderson tried to be sarcastically funny.

 

It was hilarious !!

I seem to remember there was a kiss & tell story about Robin going the newspaper rounds from the late 80s but I won't go into detail. Always loved their music and writing.

I'm not a massive fan of all of their music, but i do think that around the the late 70's & early 80's they wrote & produced some fantastic music for themselves & other artists. Between them & another great Nile Rodgers of Chic (who is also sadly fighting cancer) they wrote the soundtrack of the Disco Era.

Sjj2112 - I was merely pointing out that PC Rathband was by no means whiter than white and that was later proved, following his unfortunate blinding, when he was unceremoniously arrested by his former Police colleagues on suspicion of an assault at his home on his wife.

Robin Gibb was one of music’s good guys and he did a great deal of Charity work raising and donating millions of pounds, he certainly wasn’t a so called hell raiser in the mould Keith Richards, Keith Moon, Kurt Cobain, Jimmy Page or Tommy Lee.
