2011/12 - Your highlight and lowlight

What was your favourite and least favourite (excluding anything to do with the stadium) moment from last season?

It could be a match, a single moment or even anything off the pitch, to do with a supporter. In fact, anything Margate related.

Mine were....

HIGHLIGHT

The 5-1 win over high-flying Lewes that completed 5 straight wins and got me genuinely believing that the play-offs or even automatic promotion, were a real possibility.

LOWLIGHT

Bromley's second goal in the FA Cup game. You knew straight away that a third was just around the corner.

Ironically, the scorer of those goals ended up here and the few effortless minutes I saw him stroll around in a Margate shirt was close to being my lowlight of choice.

My highlight off the field was personally getting 1000+ signatures for the "smaller hotel" petition.

My lowlight was attending the cabinent/council meetings and witnessing the pantomime that went on.

On the field it was many, but from a selfish point of view watching Matt Bodkin, the crosses that he delivered when in a

no win situation against their defenders were quite magnificent.

The lowlight was letting you know who go, he should have been made to see the season through.

Hard to disagree with those. That Lewes game really was fantastic: we looked unstoppable at that point. Although I'd chuck in the Charlton match as a contender too. Despite the defeat, thought we really held our own in front of a very decent crowd, against an opposition that included several players with first-team experience

Bromley has got to be a game to forget; I will never forget one of their fans remarking on his exit from the ground "Well we played well for three minutes". Couldn't help but agree, which made it even more sickening. Although East Thurrock away was particularly low as well. Losing 3-0 on a cold, (ridiculously) wet afternoon in Essex, as it dawned on most of us that the playoffs were a million miles away, takes some beating.

Still, can't wait to do it all again next year!

Highlights: THamesmead Town away when Kwesi ran riot and I thought we were going on a great cup run

Lowlights: Leatherhead away when we heard the news that Kwesi had gone and I believed we were never going to score again

Now comeon Dave admit it it your highlight was Tom Murphys goal against Harrow (The photograhic evidence is there).
