time stands still for no man,not on twitter

Andy, could more than one of us use the twitter account to update???

There's no system limitation why more than 1 person couldn't be signed on to the same account and tweeting. You certainly wouldn't want it to be a free-for-all though but it probably does make sense to have 2 or 3 people having access to promote info about their specific responsibilities/roles/functions etc. If we can build some "clevers" into the site then as we publish news on the website these can auto-publish to Twitter / Facebook even Google+ if we want to go that far. Saves duplicating the same info.

There has to be some account ownership though e.g. linked email address etc so as new people follow/mention/re-tweet etc notifications are sent to this designated email. Who owns this and which email is used needs to be agreed.

We should really have a full set of emails set up for the site too (presumably the host, ISDOO, supports emails). At the moment our contact us page has the webmaster's email as afchornchurch@tiscali.co.uk. Much better (and a lot more professional looking) if it was webmaster@afchornchurch.co.uk. Behind the scenes it can still auto-forward to afchornchurch@tiscali.co.uk but it just looks better. I'll create a separate thread for this rather than hijack this one.

I think you may need to create a new club email address. When the club had problems handling emails a few years back I created afchornchurch@tiscali.co.uk as an alias to my own personal email address and handled/routed all club email traffic. Now I have hung up my boots it would not be very efficient for club emails to still come to me.
