No space for GAZZA?

Would you choose Gazza before, say, Johnny Giles and Danny Blanchflower (NIR) or Jim Baxter and Davie Cooper (SCO) or Brian Flynn and Ivor Allchurch (WAL) in midfield.

 

It's very difficult to choose a Best XI, and I guess that opinions count for a lot, but Gazza would not make my team although he was undeniably a good player.

Gilesy, I have to include more than one Northern Irish player - otherwise it looks as if I'm being biased against them.

 

Don't forget David Healy 'is the all-time leading scorer for Northern Ireland with 35 goals, and also holds the record for the highest scoring tally during a UEFA European Championship qualifying campaign with 13.' - Quote from Wikipedia.

 

He scored more times for Northern Ireland than George Best, and is the second most capped player (92 caps) for Northern Ireland ever (only Pat Jennings has more with 112). Jennings, himself, is one of the Goalkeepers I had considered for my squad along with Neville Southall.
