Against all odds Bagshot Football Club won the Surrey Intermediate Cup last night, beating Abbey FC on penalties 4-2.

Beating 2 Surrey Elite teams on the way and Abbey have been accepted into the Surrey Elite next season. Great achievement by the lads, seeing as Bagshot play in Aldershot and District league. All the boys should be extremely proud of themselves.

Yeah mate...planned holiday lol. Kind of night you never want to end. Got home and couldn't sleep....just waiting for TRS to complete the edited filming, and no doubt will be something to be watched over and over again. The lads I've had with me this season have been great. We've finished the season undeafeted in 2012. On a 17 game win-spin. Winning every single game we've played in 2012. Scoring 101 goals, and only conceding 19. That's some stat.

There was always a small possibility I was gonna stay IP and try to take the club into the Intermediate league, but I think it's time for me take that next step and move on. My season at Bagshot will always be remembered, and winning the Surrey Cup is so far the highlight of my career.

Tommo do you think that some of the Bagshot players are good enought for CCL Div. 1 you know that club in Surrey ......LOL !!!

Yeah mate, theres a handful of the players that are good enough for CCL. The majority of my players were already signed for CCL clubs...I just managed to prise them away lol

 

prise them away or they were not good enough to begin with?
