Would have made the decision harder. But the writing might have been on the wall. Dont think the Americans liked the way he handled the Suarez affair, but in Dalglish's defence nobody else from the club was exactly helping him. He had to deal with all of that by himself. Should have been a Chief Executive sorting out that mess. Plus his handling of the Press was not as it should have been. It was good at the start with plenty jokes and banter but when the pressure was on he let himself down. Perhaps being out the game for so long made the difference.

Massive call from the Yanks to dethrone the King, really hope they have a plan as the club is in a bit of a mess. No Manager, no Director of Footnall, no Director of Communications, no Stadium plan, no Champions League.

 

To finish 8th was simply not good enough for LFC. I thought he would get one more season, but that would have required more investment in the squad. Most of his signings have not worked as yet. Henderson, Downing and Adam have not exactly been shining lights and Carroll has only just showing signs of his undoubted ability.

Roy Hodgson has a game plan,can the likes of Sturridge,Lennon,defend No they cannot.It definitely will not be pretty to watch for sure,but Chelsea showed how it can be done,with grit and determination,and of Course a bit of Luck.HAS A RING OF 66 ABOUT IT TO ME,GET ON.

He didnt get sacked just cause of suarez scenario though it wouldnt of helped fact of the matter is liverpool are a poor team an have been most of the season bad signings henderson the most noticable enrique hasnt had a good season an charlie adam has been poor though i think been injured alotthose three alone were 35m i wouldnt of paid 35 quid for all three though enrique was in my dream team lol (he was cheap)

Word is that Andre Villas-Boas is going to be the new boss at Anfield.

 

Jose's a shoe-in at Old Trafford for when Sir Alex calls it a day, and Roberto Martinez wants to stay at Wigan. If Wigan do well next season then maybe he'll look for a higher up job.

Stoke have some good players, Shawcross and Etherington could have been called up as backups as well as Crouch who could well have started the first two games.

 

My definite changes would have been:

Richards, Simpson instead of Jones, G Johnson

Carrick (who would have started) instead of Milner (yes, really)

A Johnson instead of Downing

Crouch or Holt instead of Carroll

 

Not sure I'd have taken Defoe, in which case I might have taken both Crouch and Holt or maybe Zamora, otherwise Sturridge
