Milner is a good utility player who can cover any midfield position plus RB if required, so can see why he has been included.

 

Def Johnson (Adam) over Downing though. Am surprised no inclusion of Richards especially after Walker was ruled out. Glenn Johnson isn't a great RB IMHO.

Carrick and Scholes cant be compared to Downing as they both play in Central Midfield whilst Downing "plays" out wide. Zero goals and Zero assists in the League get you in the England Squad apparently.

Agree with Sturridge and he could cover as an extra Striker too. Carroll is the man in form though.

 

Think Crouch is paying the price for playing for an unfashionable club like Stoke.. His goalscoring record at International level is impressive.

Form is out the window HKP, Lennon has been electric recently but RH has gone for the one dimensional Theo.

Perhaps, but he played well for Liverpool in their last few games of the season. Should have started in the Cup Final. Then Dalglish might still be in a job.
