Pre-season friendlies

I guess some sad person had to be the first to mention this-but i post not because i am anxious to know who they will be against- frankly-i don't care two hoots ;but simply because going by the lack of general interest at the moment-and the fact that what interest there is seems on constant decline-the thanet football scene seems to need a bit of a stimulus.

 

With that in mind-the one fixture that i hope could be' resurrected 'is a psf against ramsgate-solely to create a bit of much needed interest.

 

Margate perhaps need it more than them-as its the nearest we'll get to a local derby this coming season-and with their new manager-there is probably more to going on of interest at Ramsgate than margat at the moment .

We had a Ramsgate supporters verses management match on Saturday with grub after, I have to say it was a brilliant day and has really bought a good feeling into the club. I would def recommend your club do it. It was such a laugh. I have even mentioned maybe the RFSA playing MISA home and away even for the gazette cup! Must admit we cheated a little bit by having the shulz brothers in our team but we won 5-3 .

Yes yours truly. Not bad for 51 and I kept a clean sheet. Played the last 15 mins on pitch. Suffered a bit Sunday !!!!! Mick Twyman was our right back thInk he is still suffering now! Lol.

Given their officially-endorsed attitude to our ground development I would hope we don't send a team down there for a non-competitive fixture for many, many years. We have a game against Palace which should do rather more to bring in a few quid.

Maybe you need to be made aware that the RFSA maybe a generous donation to assist in keeping your club afloat in the not so recent past. Short memories.

I would just like to thank the rfsa for saving our club. A club that we watch in the ryman premier a place that you can only dream of returning!
