Tonight at KINGSMEADOW home to Kingstonian and AFC Wimbledon, host the Surrey Senior Cup Final tonight, so I'm off to there which should be a good game.

 

In contrast, the Suffolk Senior Cup Final is at IPSWICH TOWN and Sussex Senior Cup Final is at the new BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION ground .....mmmnnnn poor old Surrey eh ;) !!! .

Kingsmeadow is marginally more prestigious than the usual venue at Imber Court.

 

The Sussex Final should be played at the home of the Sussex FA , Lancing. Crawley Down and Whitehawk would still rattle around in there.

Surrey Intermediate is tonight at Leatherhead FC. 7.30kick off. Bagshot Vs Abbey

 

Result AET was 4-4, Bagshot won 4-2 on pens.

 

The game had just about everything. Abbey raced into a 2-0 lead, but Bagshot had it back to 2-2 before half time - the equaliser being a stunning free kick. Bagshot edged ahead in the second half and Abbey came back strongly. Bagshot looked to have hung on but a couple of minutes from time the ref pointed to the spot. The Bagshot keeper saved the pen, the ball eventually going out for a throw. From the throw in, the ball dropped to an Abbey player who equalised with an unbelievable strike almost on full time. ET and Abbey went in front. Both teams looked dead on their feet and the cup seemed to be Abbey's, but again right at the end and from a corner Bagshot equalised.

 

So to pens, Abbey's first was saved and another was put wide. Bagshot scored all theirs and so took the cup 4-2 on pens.

 

The only thing the game didn't have was a red card and it was a game played in good spirit and well reffed by Jason Connolly who did the CCL Premier final the other day.

 

It'll be a nightmare to edit!

Abbey's 3rd goal was a wonderful volley and as you can see the free kick was decent.

Abbey will do well in the Elite nex year.

M-T - the rumour is you have a job higher up next season. Is that right? Will you take any of your lads with you? Your 11 has a lot of ability.
