French Election

Loosely - Well that's exactly the poor unpatriotic attitude I'm talking about, you claim to bleed red white and blue but then you're the first to leave these shores just to seek a bit of decent weather and, as you put it, explore further afield, your argument doesn't hold water I'm afraid.

lol you fool I'm quarter scottish, quarter french and half....austrian! Born in London, spent the early years of my life in Austria and then my teens in Kent, have dual nationality and whilst being very grateful for my education and working life here in the UK would consider myself european. May have still bled red white and blue but not quite in the order you thought you knew!

Given any of that people who pay their taxes here in the UK and still choose to spend some of it abroad can still be.....patriotic!

I like to go abroad to explore different cultures and see if I can improve my life by learning about how various nationalities do things differently to us Brits. There's so much to learn from, and gain inspiration on all kinds of things, ranging from cooking to gardening, and general life styles. The weather can also be an added bonus if after a hard years working you just wish to chill out. TBH I have lost count of the times I felt ashamed to be British because of the way we tend to treat treat people not from these shores, and because of the behaviour of my fellow countrymen when abroad so I'm no longer very patriotic I'm afraid.

I think the majority of people who come to these shores are treated far better than they are in their own country, its a shame that because a few take the p1ss when here that many get tarnished the same but its human nature, the same can be said for Brits abroad on holidays but in all honesty the host country usually plays its part by allowing these pathetic all male/female drunken holidays to escalate beyond all control.

Being of Italian and Irish decent, and born in England Miss understood i follow your quintessential hypothesis. Being a international playboy myself and having lived abroad. i think you are wrong to feel ashamed to be British. Our friends abroad realise the lager louts on holiday are but a small segmant of the British and just laugh at them. The Brits are respected abroad by the majority still. For Rhodes, i like to drop my IQ from 147 to the level of a Carrot now and again to deal with his banality on here. You, like Mr Loose should do the same. Edited by Pink Panther
