Hanworth Villa 5-0 Sandhurst Town

Congratulations to Villa, rounding off a terrific season with a cup. They went ahead in the first minute when fizzers conceded a very soft goal from a free kick. Fizzers didn't let their heads drop though and had a few good chances at the other end, with Villa breaking well and causing problems also. The game possibly turned on the second goal when Shennan looked miles offside and was left one on one with the keeper and made no mistake. Poor defending lead to Villa's third before half time, which was a bit harsh on Sandhurst. The second half needed fizzers to get a quick goal to make a game of it, but this never looked likely and Villa eased to a 5-0 win.

Especially for Nice Guy - the guy doing the presentations at the end read out all the team members and staff for both sides and announced duncs as assistant manager for Sandhurst.

5 nil was a bit harsh on Sandhurst they were better than that. It's tough to keep Lawrie and/or Levi quiet for 90 minutes though.

Great golden boot sub plot to yesterdays game. Lawrie went into the game a goal behing Levi but his brace earn't him the award. 91 goals in total for those two in total. Great effort by them.

Including their goal bonus I think so don't you........ ;) !!

They are Villians thru' and thru' and am sure that Hanworth have received a few 7 dayers for them.

IF they do leave, it will obviously a massive loss and can't see Hanworth up there next season. Plan is to keep these 2 strikers quiet then you have a good chance of beating Villa, but the job is to keep 'em quiet !!!

To score 91 goals between them in all competitions is a fantastic achievement, its like school boy football stuff....brilliant well done L & L !

NG, well paid??? Yes the squad are on wages, yes there are goal bonuses paid (clean sheet too :) ), but we're not talking Windsor's scale LOL :D

In fact, one of the dynamic duo in question was asked to sign for a newly promoted club during pre season, the newly promoted club did offer a greater pay deal, but i'm glad to say that they saw sense and came back HOME to play with his "mates", you see it's not all about earning a greater wage playing football, some people out there want to play because they love a club.

At "The Ranch" we have a unique group of players that are "team mates" & "friends"

And I believe we have several players that could play higher up the pyramid, but yet they choose to stay loyal, taking a club they love to the next level "together", we don't have to have a ridiculous wage bill to try and buy the league (unlike some that have gone before us)

And as quoted by Newby "they will die for each other"

And Newbs, the whole club are extremely proud of our achievements this season, not just "The Buss Family", Tony helped build what we have today, and has set us on a very good platform for the future, to that the club will always be indebted to him

65 competitive games for the season

179 goals scored (all competitions)

91 of these goals scored by Lawrie 46 Or Levi 45 (known at "The Ranch" as LOL)

2 great cup runs

Reserves win the Suburban Div North

Great season all round (from a bunch of mates)

Chertsey by any chance !!!

Well said Terry, and my congratulations do out to The Villians for what can only be described as a great season acheiving what they have and earning around £20,000 (maybe more) in prize money, plus now the additional prize money from the CCL in coming 3rd (I think - not 100% sure) for the club. Excellent !

Wouldn't surprise me if you are there or thereabouts again next season.

Oh by the way, you are well paid, but the Windsors players are VERY WELL paid for CCL level ....... ;) !!!
