Im off to watch Southall v West Essex tomorrow.

UP THE ALL!

Checking out next season's opposition LOL

Ha Ha Ha

Yeah ive watched Southall a lot this season when Hanwell are not playing or they are away and im not going ive kind of adopted them as my second team this season. Ive enjoyed watching them i cant remember them not scoring at any of the games i have been to this season. The only sad thing this season was the sudden death of Southall's long serving secretary Geoff Harrison earlier this year he was such a nice person and he did so much for Southall FC watching Southall play since his death hasnt quite been the same.

Report from another forum

Arrived at MK Wanderers ground & visitors were warming up. Close to ko I hadn't seen any home players. There were spectators milling around. At approx. 1128 home players appeared & got the dug-outs out of a lorry container. It all appeared a bit of a shambles really with the ref in no hurry either. To be fair this may have been due to the fact that MK had only 10 players while in the dug-out was the manager & no one else.

Molten Spartan South Midlands League Division 2

MK Wanderers 2 (20 & 44)

Aston Clinton 5 (4, 22, 25, 32 & 36)

MATCH ABANDONED DURING HALF-TIME INTERVAL DUE TO SHORTAGE OF PLAYERS (see below)

Att: 22 h/c (mostly hoppers) KO: 1130 but started at 1142 Cost: Free Saw no progs

Venue: Kents Hill Pavilion, Frithwood Crescent, Milton Keynes

2 pitches adjacent to each other fill up this green in a nice looking part of MK. Behind one goal is the pavilion (small room but did sell refreshments) which looks slightly down on pitch with a decent size overhang & plenty of hardstanding while nearer the pitch is grass, shrubs & a path. There is also an extremely low wooden rail. Other goal has grass & a path with houses beyond. Side is enclosed due to trees. There are car parks all around the ground. The other side of the pavilion is another pitch & the nets were being put up so I reckon the Reserves were going to use this pitch this afternoon as corner flags were removed from our pitch.

The whole green was a bit squelchy & cut up with players slipping alot.

Match: 14th v champions out of 14.

When AC scored early it appeared an expected easy win was on the cards. Surprisingly MK had a few attacks & forced gk to make a save. Moments later a volley went in for the equaliser. AC looked anything but champions. This goal woke them up & the AC #9 scored a hat-trick in 10:34 & less than 4 mins later another goal was added. They should've scored more but instead of shooting they tried for the perfect pass or walk the ball in as MK's defence was almost non-existant. AC then should've been awarded a penalty which the lino missed. Just before h/t MK's #10 who was so speedy got his 2nd. Despite the one-sidedness the shot count was 5-7.

I was looking for more goals in the 2nd half & was fully expecting to beat my record of 12. During h/t the MK #7 who was whingeing most of the 1st half went into a tirade of abuse during the h/t break & walked off saying he wouldn't play again & such like. Another player followed. Moments later players were shaking hands & the game had been abandoned. Had a brief chat with the officials at the end to finish a strange start to the day.

DIVISION TWO

Risborough Rangers v Old Bradwell United (Kick Off 11.30am)

A couple of brief reports on this one from another Forum:

Risborough Rangers 3-0 Old Bradwell United

Spartan South Midlands 2nd Division

A revisit for me. Some development having taken place already, just waiting for funding to be raised to erect floodlights. Spent a bit of the game in the good company of the chairman of the hosts. the game not too dissimilar to the reverse fixture a couple of weeks ago, though this time Risborough eventually managed to convert some of their chances in the second half for a deserved, and comfortable, victory.

Risborough Rangers 3 Old Bradwell United 0 (Spartan South Midlands League Division 2) Att: 63

Most enjoyable. This is an extremely friendly and well organised club who even take the trouble to put direction signs along the roads leading to the ground. Admission, including a very decent prog, was just two quid, and I am told the catering was excellent. Decent game, the result never really in doubt but it took Rangers a very long time to get off the mark. Splendid company from LS8 and even a conversation with a dejected Garrincha's Dog by means of the telegraph.

DIVISION TWO

2-5 MK Wanderers v Aston Clinton

Another laughable report from another Forum, I wonder how the SSML will deal with it:

Oh what a day!

Spartan South Midland League Division Two

KO 11.30am (More like 11.40am)

MK Wanderers 2 Aston Clinton 5 (Abandoned at Half Time)

Admission None

Programme None (Picked one up from the recent game with Baldock Town)

Attendance 26h/c Nearly all hoppers

Things looked bad early on when only 10 men turned up for MK, but to be fair they didn't look that bad early on equalising Astons early goal and having one or two chances, but as the half went on Aston when through the MK defence time and time again.

Just before half time the manager came onto the pitch to tend to an injured player and tried to offer some advice at the same time, which seemed to go down like a ton of bricks.

At half time the manager called all the players around and basically said stop trying to play football at the back as the pitch was is no state to play a passing game. At this point the No7 went absolutely mental and said he wouldn't play long ball and stormed off to the dressing room refusing to play followed closely by another player, also on half time the No8 had come across to say his injury was so to bad he couldn't run and before we knew what was happening the ref had called it a day and everyone was shaking hands.

The result is showing as having stood but it seems game was abandoned??

Should stand as it makes no difference to league placings

DIVISION TWO

3-0 Risborough Rangers v Old Bradwell United

It seems like every man and his dog was at this one on Saturday:

SSSML Div 2

Risborough Rangers 3 Old Bradwell Utd 0 Att: 63

Admission: £2 with programme

Coffee: 80p

Game covered earlier by Dr Love. A very friendly set of people running this club and a lovely ground as well, i could do with something like this closer to home. Food available and club officials seemed keen to know where people had travelled from then couldn't believe it when someone had travelled 60 miles or so.

£32k left to find to get the floodlights up, apparently.
