Cameron comes under fire!

Recommended Posts

So why is he having a go at you, then ??

Too many sherberts, me-thinks !!

I don't know JR. Rhodesly just likes to ruin everything, he's the reason we can't have good things you know?

You only have to look at how we've all been getting on fine together while he's been missing.

How long do you reckon it'll be before 'Call Me Dave & Co'  renages on all his pre- election promises, and stings the working man and rewards the fat-cats for backing him ??

The Conservatives got into power with only about 24.5% of the electorate actually voting for them. Do they represent the people of the UK?

No, first past the post just doesn't work anymore in a multi-party state. For me "strong government is an acronym for dictatorship.

Quite so RB  !

Proportional Representation is the only fair way forward.

Quite so, Rhodsey, old chap.

The end of the working mans chance to do anything in this country !!

'Call Me Dave' is obviously 'Iron Maggie's' love child.

Wait until the first Tory budget.  It'll be sting the working clasees and reward the fat cats. S0d everyone else.  The gnomes of Canary Wharf but be laughing all the way to their tax havens.

Rolf Harris is in the best place.  Three square meals a day, all medical needs cared for without having to wait for two weeks to get an NHS doctors appointment.

I'm starting to believe I've done it all wrong.

Now, where is that 14 year female neighbour of mine ?

It's a fair comment and we're going to be stuck with the results for the next 5 years unfortunately.

I just hope that those of us who are still working keep their jobs.

What did I hear the other day about the Conservatives drawing up new boundary changes that will guarantee them another 20 safe seats next time round? We could be stuck with this lot for decades!

They tried to push that through in the last government and the Lib Dem's stopped them. It's certainly worrying.

Trouble is, with a clear majority, they'll probably now get away with it !

What's more worrying is that Labour will soon be electing another unelectable leader. Great news for the Tories, but dreadful for the over 70% who hope for a credible alternative. IMO Labour has two potential leaders who could easily defeat the Tories, but one, Dan Jarvis doesn't want the job because he has a young family, and the other Sir Keir Starmer has only been an MP for two weeks and feels he is not yet ready.

Hopefully the weakest of the leadership contenders will get chosen and make a pigs ear of the job so we can have another election in two or three years time when both men could be available.

Dan Jarvis seems to be a good bloke. I reckon that Andy Burnham will get the nod but the Conservatives will definitely play on his union links.

Andy Burnham would IMO be a disaster because of the Stafford Hospital scandal and PFI which is causing financial nightmares for many hospitals and was all done on his watch. Had he resigned over Gordon Browns PFI nonsense he would have had some credibility, but he put his own career before the NHS and will never be forgiven . Keir Starmer has a CV second to none, and with his experience outside politics its inconceivable he gave up his previous job to become a backbench MP.

I can't remember who it was that declared that Nigel Farage would be comfortably putting his jackboots up on the desk in No.10 by now. I must have a look back in these threads at some point because they've gone awfully quiet. Perhaps conveniently under the cover of a Tory Victory...
