Cameron comes under fire!

Recommended Posts

I think the point was made well by someone else that the so called "minimum wage" was the absolute minimum that a working person could be expected to survive on, never as an adequate reward for work product or the proper return for the sweat of one's labour.

Since when did we all aspire to expect people to subsist let alone view disabled people as less worthy?

We've all been sold a pup by our governments including the current one. This latest drivel from a supposed minister should raise the discussion but supporting his views let alone the lauding of them by our resident troll is demeaning to every working person let alone those challenged by the 'average' workplace.

Karen - Well many of the East Europeans who have landed on our shores recently work for £2 an hour don't they in order to send money back to your Warsaw's, Bucharest's, Tirana's and Sofia's, what's the difference.

It would be totally illegal, so as you are a responsible and proud Englishman can we take it for granted that you will supply the police with names and addresses, and let us know how you get on..

Interesting comment made by Caroline Lucas the Green Party's MP for Brighton

"It wasn't the poor who caused the economic crisis. It wasn't people on Jobseekers Allowance who brought down the banks. It wasn't people with disabilities who wasted £billions gambling on risky financial markets. That's why we say stop punishing the poor".

"So long as the deficit was falling it was at least possible to believe that the government still meant what it said, but the deficit is no longer falling. It’s up by 10 per cent this year. There was a moment, during the depths of the financial crisis, when the idea of Britain borrowing more than £100 billion a year scared the living daylights out of a majority of voters. That moment has probably gone. We’ve now had six successive years in which we’ve borrowed more than £100 billion."

Kind of knocks the old "Well look at the mess Labour left us in line"

I think that there's only so long you can keep blaming the previous government for our current economic state - especially as you correctly state the main factor was the banks gambling with money they didn't have - and losing.
