Jersey v Guernsey Muratti Final is being streamed

Recommended Posts

It is sad to report that there was a bit of trouble after the match, bottles thrown by the disgruntled Craupaud fans. Sadly this is a regular occurrence in that Island.

It also looked like objects were thrown from the crowd at the Guernsey 'keeper. This does seem to happen every year. Unfortunately the Jersey Police Force just stand there and watch.

H.K.P.what game were you watching, the stewards and Police had total control,in a relaxed way.Was it not the Guernsey supporters who invaded the pitch post match,to celebrate, and were allowed to.Chris Tardif picked up something yes,on one occassion, from the edge of the box, hardly aimed at him though.Your hatred for the Crapauds bares no ends, you sad Little Man.

Yes in spirit, cheering the Lions on,something you need to learn, never believe others.Guernsey won which was the right result,so why not be courteous in Victory, rather than slagging of the Jersey Police and Stewards.

I never slagged them off, just wish they would do their job properly! This has been happenning for many a year and if the same thing happened in Guernsey then the outcry from the Craupauds would be heard from where you live! I have been very complimentary about CWU on another thread, if you were a Donkey then you would know how much rivalry there is between the islands. I have friends in Jersey that were at the game and they were disgusted by the antics of a few mindless idiots. The reports I got were from Jersey supporters as well as respected Guernsey people.

Well done to all at Guernsey on a great season.

A great bunch of people, even if, (as Islanders do), they take the bait a bit rapidly !!

I spoke to someone this morning who was in the crowd, and they were pelted with eggs and bottles of water with the lids off (albeit plastic ones). Hardly the class of Millwall fans, but mindless and childish nonetheless. As they say "in every bunch of roses, you will always find the odd prick"

Not a nice way to describe H.K.P. Panthera, but I wholeheartedly agree,he is one.

But I meant.........oh never mind, you two carry on with your handbags. :argue:

I was there.. as usual, scenario of a few kids looking for aggro. The areas behind the goals were netted off this year to stop fans getting close enough to throw things accurately at the goalie, at least JFA had made some effort. There were a lot of security and stewards but they did not seem to be self motivated, JFA reps had to keep telling them to go and move people from in front of barriers etc.

There were apparently 2 arrests, two teenagers for public order offences. Most of the crowd on both sides were good natured and friendly as usual. The war is for 90 mins and is fought on the pitch between the two teams. I chatted to loads of people at the match and before and after in town. Zero tolerance for idiocy is the right way to police this event.

Looked a healthy crowd there, plenty of DONKEYS in attendance.

Not one sign of 'mad-cow' disease, either, (Guernsey OR Jersey) !

Interesting reading on the Guernsey Press website, seems that the Donkeys and the Crapauds were both to blame for the off field antics.Wonder what H.K.P. has to say about that. Not so squeaky clean as he thought,as it takes 2 to Tango.

Kids on both sides trying to be yobbo army. There would be less Guernsey prats because the minimum cost for them to be there was £40 with boat fare and match ticket. Most attending from Guernsey would have been real fans however if challenged and fuelled by a few bevvies some of those would have fought back if provoked.

There were apparently more Guernsey supporters than Jersey ones at the game anyway!

Stop trying to make more of this than there was smudge.

Anyone causing trouble is a disgrace to their island. Simples.
