Personally I don't think Stony Stratford will be relegated to Division 2 and I'll be surprised if Sun Postal Sports are too

Quite possibly Connell but wage bill is pointless without the £10,000's needed spent to bring ground up to code. Teams always looking for a short term fix. So many teams have thrown thousands away on players over the years then end up homeless (Aylesbury United, Buckingham Town, Crawley Green who are still doing it and have had huge grants in the past etc) or out of existence (too many to mention) fair play if someone wants to throw money away for one or two good seasons it's up to them they've done it before when Connell was there and they had a quality side with Dykesy etc but as I say look at what happened a few years after and where they are now! Same mistakes to be repeated? They had a wage budget this year didn't they Craig? Jammo and that lot were getting a good few quid

Of course mate but he's a multi millionaire cos he doesn't waste money surely. I think it's great that anyone wants to put money particularly their own into football at this level but you have to love the club it has to be your home town or something to essentially lose money season in season out as you will never get it back. Good luck to Smithy and I guess time will tell. Just hope he backs the right horse so to speak if it was me and I was looking at bringing through a serious MK team I'd look to Wolvo Town. Shame it didn't work out for him to join the Ampthil reveloution but you never know what the future holds eh?

The club needs stability at this time so I dont expect any changes to be made between now and the start of the season in terms of the manager. Not knowing what division they will be playing in next season also does not help , but at the moment the plans are based on being in Division 2 , off the park the club must sort out the facilities to move forward as a club

Don't be too hard on yourselves, Stony as a club has a lot of tradition and history and some good people behind the scenes who have stuck by them thro thick and thin.

You and them are giving up your free time in order to not only stablise the club but in time move it forward, the biggest problem you face like many clubs now are the rule changes where once your changing facilities were deemed okay now need a major re-vamp and thousands spent on them.....in the present climate we face these people who force the rules think money grows on trees, so I applaud you and the people at the club, you're standing up fighting rather than the easy option of just walking away.
