League latest...

According to the Grays web site - which seems to have latest news, the League have advised :-

Tuesday.

Leiston v Pot Bar.

Thursday.

Leiston or Enfield v Grays.

Sunday.

Final.

So, Tilbury or Needham will have longer to recover / prepare for the Final.

Can this be right / acceptable / fair ???

Game wont take place on Tuesday either!

Go to the met office and see the wet weather warning for Tuesday. They may have a dry spell tomorrow but will this be enough to dry out the pitch.

Taking a non-parochial view what have the ryman decided with regard to Wares game against Waltham Forest on which relegation decisions have to be made. Has that game been called off yet?

This wet weather is predicted to last all week and looking at the charts I think I agree with the met office. There may be lighter rain on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but it will still rain. There is high pressure over the continent and over Iceland. This means that low pressure areas are now, unusually, not able to move east and away from Britain. We have arctic maritime winds over Britain.

I blame the government declaring a drought!

TCC,

Think you dismiss Grays at your peril.

They were not happy yesterday and will be VERY keen to gain revenge against Town or defeat a tierd Leiston.

They also have at least 3 players to come into the team, who did not play yesterday.

IF it is Town v Grays - I for one will be very conrcerned.

Come on Towners.

How many other Ryman clubs have a weather expert?

If the Government call off the drought then will it stop raining?

I certainly don't dismiss our friends over in essex! I was basing my thoughts on current form AND the lack of recovery time afforded to those in the Leiston/Enfield v Grays conundrum. IF Leiston are able to play on Tuesday then (as everyone has already spotted,) it's only 3 days to cover from Thursday to Sunday when Tilbury may well be waiting.

Still, I'm sure we'd much prefer to be playing at home against a team we've beaten twice already this season. (Albeit a tight pair of encounters).
