I wish you well in this fine fund-raiser.

I knew Roger well, both at Horley, during the Horley Ladies days, and on his occasional visits to Meadowbank.

He was a 'true-gent', and a credit to amateur football.

Even though Dorking Ladies could not participate, for obvious reasons, I'm told some of their representatives will attend to support this great cause.

Have a great day !

The inaugural Roger Patterson 6 a Side tournament was a huge success!

Despite a waterlogged pitch and incessant rain, local teams put themselves out to support the event and all the games were played in a true sporting spirit (with plenty of banter!).

A massive thanks to all the teams taking part and I'm sure that a decent sum will have been raised for St. Catherine's Hospice.

For the record, South Park FC were worthy winners of the trophy but non-league football at its best was the true winner and thanks are due to all the players who turned up and supported the event.

This was Non-League football at its best with true sportmanship, hopefully loads of money for St. Cath's, and my faith in non-league footballers somewhat restored.
