Camberley 1 Windsor 3. Excellent game at Krooner, probably a deserved win for Windsor, but only just, as Camberley pushed them all the way, with a much improved display compared to the previous couple of home games where they have been woeful.

Egham Town 1 Farnham Town 1 - our season ends as it began, with a draw against Farnham. Dale Marvell scored our 400th CCL goal in the 2-2 draw on the first day and the 500th today. Then 4 minutes later a guy on his knees headed in the equaliser (James Pearson, for the record.) Farnham were unlucky to have a man sent off, I thought. Overall it was a fair result because we failed to make the most of our chances and Farnham worked hard.

What happened to Guildford - did they turn up? Not the proudest way to end a season, even if you are champions...

Disagree Flint I thought Camberley were thoroughly deserving of a draw if I am honest. We appeared to have a lot more chances then Windosr but the difference is the way O'Toole took his chances. I guess that is what you get when you pay for it :)

Good day with the little ones on the pitch and I just wish more people would appreciate it and come along when it is free !!!

Good to see Ed again and have a good chat with a windsor fan about the great big glob who played at number 5 who could thrown a ball miles and go down worse than Drogba.

Oh and for the record I though the 3 officials had a good game including a certain poster who wasnt deserving of grief from somone who should know better, !!

Guernsey FC v Spelthorne Sports

Match Report: Guernsey FC 2 Spelthorne Sports 0

Today's team: Tardif, Geall, McKenzie, Cochrane, Dodd, Mackay, Rihoy, Black, Heaume, Jordan, Bradford.

Mammoth effort by the ground staff and volunteers of Guernsey FC to get this match on after heavy rain during the night left the Footes Lane flooded.

On a cold, wet and blustery day for the fans it took some 22 minutes for the first goal to be scored, Ollie MCKenzie converting a penalty after Dom Heaume was brought down by the Spelthorne Sport’s keeper in the 18 yard box. Barely another 2 minutes had elapsed when the Green Lions took a 2-0 lead, the Spelly keeper making a real hash of the inswinging ball from Dave Rihoy from the right wing which he somehow managed to carry over the goal line prompting the linesman to signal the goal.

HALF-TIME STATS: FREE-KICKS - GFC 10 SS 7, SHOTS ON TARGET GFC 7 SS 3, SHOTS OFF TARGET GFC 2 SS 2,

OFF SIDES GFC 3 SS 0, CORNERS GFC 5 SS 2.

Playing conditions had dictated throughout the match and it was no surprise when Spelthorne had the major share of the second half as they pushed forward relentlessly to get back into the match.

Chris Tardif, later and deservedly named man of the match pulled off three outstanding saves in the second half to deny Spelthorne reducing the deficit. Full marks to Spelthorne for the effort they put in during the second half, their positive effort was commendable.

The Green Lions struggled to make an attacking impact during the second half in the difficult playing conditions, but the end result was another hard fought 3 points in their final league game.

Although the game was no great spectacle you have got to admire the’ job done’ by the team on the day, culminating with the biggest cheer of the day when Guernsey FC were crowned Combined Counties Division 1 champions and were presented with the League trophy.

SECOND HALF STATS: FREE-KICKS - GFC 10 SS 4, SHOTS ON TARGET GFC 2 SS 4, SHOTS OFF TARGET GFC 6 SS 8,

OFF SIDES GFC 1 SS 0, CORNERS GFC 2 SS 4.

Guernsey FC substitutions: Matt Loaring replaces Ryan Zico-Black 70 mins, Matt Warren for Rhys Jordan 72 mins, Jason Winch for Olly McKenzie on 80 mins.

MAN OF THE MATCH – Chris Tardif

Crowd - 1,184 – fantastic turnout considering the poor, cold weather conditions on the day.

Congratulations Guernsey FC, you should be very proud of what you and your fans have achieved in your inaugural season in the English non-league pyramid system.

Was that chat with a bloke in a woolly hat and were you wearing a red wet-top, if so that was me and I thoroughly agree with your last sentence if you're talking about the incident in front of the stand at half-time as the teams came off ?

Kroons, thanks for organising the boys U11 football this afternoon. My boy and his team really enjoyed themselves.
