Problem is the forecast is that it could rain like this for most of May. Going to be a mad week, wouldn't be surprised if the new plan gets changed.

Not being funny but why even play the fixture? There is nothing riding on it! Just declare it a draw, I remember when we were relegated at Chesham and Harrow Borough didn't have to complete their fixtures!

 

I hope the management rare up about this, to play a game 48 hours before such a huge game is a joke, play it on the Friday night at the least, there is no need for the Woodford game to take place now!

Correct me if I'm wrong but the games previously cancelled at the end of a season were not under the jurisdiction of the Southern League. Anything the Isthmian league has done historically won't have a bearing on their decision. There comes a point though where if the rain continues they'll have to give it some thought.

We should just play off against the best placed finished relegated team from the Premier and do away with the playing of teams in our division, to me that makes more sense than the play format in our division!

 

I would imagine the league will simply extend the season by a week but whose to say the games can go ahead??? Sounds like May is rain, rain, rain... They may have to move the games to neutral venues if the games cannot be played on the home teams pitch!

I can confirm there was standing water in the centre of the pitch but unfortunately I was too cream crackered to bother with a photo. Woodford's pitch is also effectively at the bottom of a hill so with lots of rain to come can't see it being played any time soon.

We should be asking for favours off of players like Robbie Kean, Paul Edgeworth, Ben Sturgess and Shaun Byrne for this rearranged game if they are still registered. I would not risk any of the starting 11 for the play off semi final!

If there was something riding on the game, like the AFC Totton game in the Premier, I could understand it but there is nothing to gain for either team. To only to potentially have 48 hours to recover after Tuesday for the Semi Final it is a joke, especially considering we have finished 2nd and low and behold SYCOB now have 5 days full recovery time, it's advantage SYCOB in my opinion and that is an absolute farce!

I guess any decision on Tuesday's game will happen sometime on the day if there's a pitch inspection. If it's off again then I guess there will be discussions with the league to see what they plan to do.
